We rented a kayak and paddled around the tidewaters. In two hours we saw bald headed eagles, many pairs of osprey and several species of ducks. A absolutely beautiful place to explore at your own pace. An roller ramp with rails allowed for easy launching of the kayak into the water.

BeIng a little reluctant because I had so many other things I had to do. I went to Discovery Parkwith my husband. I was glad I came! The waking trails and bike paths are so beautiful. Dogs are welcome. Don't miss the botanical garden!

I am afraid this place will get further discovered and just won't be the same. We rent two kayaks for two hours on a beautiful Summer day and could have not asked for a better experience! The employees were friendly, informative, and helpful. The equipment rented is very well maintained. It is nicely tucked away at the end of the Parkway and you can easily access the nearby waterways.

Put in your kayak and turn left (Powhatan Creek) or right (the James River). The staff is completely helpful in launching and retrieving kayaks -- your energy goes entirely to paddling and enjoying the beautiful environment. Great staff, friendly folks, reasonable prices. Can't wait for next summer.

My friends and I spent an afternoon kayaking down Powhatan Creek. Two of my friends had never been kayaking before, and they were a little nervous. Everyone had a great time though. The customer service at Eco Discovery was wonderful, and they are reasonably priced. They also have a kayak launch that makes it easy to get in and out of the water.

Nice option for the more active family to rent bikes or kayaks to travel the island. We biked the island for a few hours and then parked the bikes at the visitor center for Jamestowne Settlement and toured the fort, the Indian village, the boats and watched the videos. Very nice spot.

My mom and I went kayaking here this afternoon and it was excellent. The workers there were very polite and we had a very peaceful and relaxing time as we kayaked on the river. It is also very affordable to rent the kayaks. Overall, a fantastic experience.

We visited several "bike" shops in the area hoping to rent a bike. We avoided the Eco Discovery because we thought it wouldn't be as good. BOY WERE WE WRONG. - We rented 5 bikes - all Trek, All new, and all in working condition. Other bike stores in the area were trying to piecemeal our request. We took a leisurely ride through the National Park and out to a Vineyard where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch.I was disappointed in the bike trail "maps" - we relied on our smartphone more than the one supplied at Eco Discovery. I guess I am spoiled with the trail maps in my hometown.Overall - I would rent at Eco Discovery before venturing over to a local "bike store".

Awesome day relaxing with nature. Canoeing, biking, kayaking and discovery cruise. Very friendly staff. Spoke with Steve the owner who spent over an hour with my dad and I discussing the future plans for the park.....lots more great things to come. Very family and environmentally friendly.

Having been to just about every attraction in the Williamsburg-Jamestown area this was the first time I have been on a boat ride out from the Eco Discovery marina and it was magical. The friendly two man crew couldn't have been more helpful. The osprey and bald-headed eagles were to be seen in abundance. To complete this wonderful trip we saw the Godspeed under sail, the replica ship from 1607. A trip not to be missed I only wish I had discovered it sooner!

My party of five went to EDP to rent bikes and had a great experience. Woman who helped us was very professional when fitting bikes and helmets to each of us. Also made sure all tires were properly inflated. Bikes were in very good condition. No squeaks or rattles, gears shifted properly and most importantly brakes were in good working order. Bike helmets were included bike rental price.Location is perfect to start your ride. Three minutes to Colonial Parkway (which we took to ride to Williamsburg Winery), three minutes to the bike trails surrounding historic Jamestown.Definetly give Eco Discovery Park two thumbs ups!

Our family (including three teens) rented bikes from Eco. For a fee of $12 each for a two-hour rental, we were suited up with a bike and helmet and given a map of the area. The staff was very kind and even offered us their 10% discount. We rode through the Jamestown 8-mile loop and stopped along the way to read the historic markers. It was a nice shaded ride which ran across wooden bridges and along various foot trails. The bikes were a nice fit and rode well!

I was looking for a place to rent a bike during a family vacation to Williamsburg and found this listing. There was a good selection of bicycles, the staff was friendly and very helpful, willing to work with me to meet my needs. I had a great biking experience along the Colonial Parkway using their bike.Later in the week the men went to rent canoes. They offer hourly and daily rates. We only wanted a couple of hours in the morning. This gave us time to explore inlets by Jamestown National Park. Coming back we saw a river otter. We opted to stay off the James River which made for a peaceful and enjoying morning.I recommend them for both biking and canoeing. They are hard to find, tucked behind the parking lot of Jamestown Settlement off the main road. But definitely worth it for those wanting a little activity during their Williamsburg stay.

We had a fantastic time! If you decide to go around the island, be sure to ask the front desk what the conditions are at the tip. It was very, very rough and probably not the best fit for first timers. I plan on trying it again but turning around at the Jamestown Settlement. A great way to view the Island!
