This is one of the must see areas when discovering Yorktown. After a day of history it's nice to do a little shopping. At least that is the opinion of my wife and daughters. Not an overwhelming space, won't take a lot of time to walk all of the stores, but they've done a nice job of creating this space right by the water. Very busy in the summer, may be a bit hard to find a parking space for the beach, but in the winter not crowded at all. Some interesting shops, a few restaurants and Ben and Jerry's ice cream. What more do you need?? I believe they still hold a farmers market there, is it Thursday and Friday morning or Friday and Saturday? Either way a great place to stop for a few hours.

Nice area along the York River with a few shops and eateries. Great for an out of the car stretch stop.

I really enjoy going down here in the spring and summer. Yorktown did a real nice job with this area. Enjoy the local food and shops.

Came down to find a place for dinner. The scenic drive is nice, the sidewalks and statues/monuments are a nice touch. We came in November when it was chilly but I can bet this place is totally awesome in the spring and summer.

Went to Yorktown in the evening and strolled along the Riverwalk Landing to watch the beautiful sunset. Ate at the Water Street Grill which was a casual bar atmosphere. Our server Jeff was very helpful in deciding what to try. The food was different - not good or bad - just different flavors and combo's. Got to try something new every now and then.

After visiting the Yorktown National Park, we took the walking path to Riverwalk Landing. It is a beautiful, peaceful, and serene place. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk along the river. There are so many photo opportunities. There are several small sand beaches and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful view. We had eaten lunch prior to our visit so I can't offer any reviews on any of the several restaurants, some which had outside seating areas along the river. The Alliance & Serenity schooners offer sailing cruises (a definite must for my next visit ). There is limited shopping. One of my negatives would be the lack of somewhere to get a quick snack. There is a Ben & Jerry's but it was horribly overpriced. Overall, our afternoon in Riverwalk Landing was one of the most enjoyable parts of our vacation! We will definitely be returning in the future.

Not much shopping but walking along the water was delightful. We took the free trolley shuttle around the loop to see what there was to do and that was enjoyable.

We spent a beautiful September afternoon here. The beach is very clean with a very nice pier and great view of beautiful sailing ships.A few lovely little shops and restaurants. I would recommend stopping here if you are in the area vs driving to virginia beach or Norfolk. Not crowded and free parking.

Really great food and a beautiful atmosphere! It was perfect for a nice anniversary dinner. We had several appetizers that were all delicious and then our meals were great too. Nice to be the waterfront so that we could go on a walk after dinner. Great night!

Gorgeous views and stellar service await you at the Riverwalk Landing. You can dine outside and watch the sunset as the mast sail ship glides into view. Wonderful place for a special occasion. Blue Plate Special with seafood and their wonderful she crab soup totally make for an excellent dining experience!!

After the Williamsburg hog rally. The next day we went here and found this spot called York pub good food the best you will enjoy. Then a nice long walk along the river beach in the sand then a two hour ride on the ship. I call that a beautiful day.

The beach looks beautiful. The bridge over the river moves to the side to allow larger boats to pass by. Not much in the way of shopping. It is a nice spot for a stroll and some quiet reading. Ben and Jerry's was a bit on the expensive side.

Definitely check out this lovely shop setting along the water in Yorktown. Several restaurants, shops and tour bookings (including Segway rentals and river tours) abound. You will find dining from light lunches/deli, ice cream shops, to fine dining as well along Water Street and the river. There are several quiet beaches with free parking in a lot at the end of the beach area. The local trolley stops along the way (which is free) to transport passengers throughout Yorktown. Highly recommended for the young and old alike.
