We found that the Strasburg Emporium was very nice. It was well organized and easy to get around. They had quite a bit of merchandise, and plenty of staff to help you. It is much nicer than many of the other antique malls around. I'd recommend it!

My wife and I travel the Shenandoah Valley several times a year and never miss a chance to stop at the Emporium. The Mall is ever changing, out with the Old in with the Old. It is never the same, always a relaxed atmosphere and the people are very helpful.

We were heading to DC and stayed in Strasburg. In the morning before leaving we visited the Woodbine Farm Market (in another review) and this antique store. It is laid out very well - the consigned areas are not jammed with junk - they are strategically placed to catch your eye. We saw some fun things but didn't buy - just a browsing experience but it was clean, well organized, and a pleasant experience.

We have visited too many antique malls over the years. So often the experience is reminiscent of "Where's Waldo." Even though we might be searching for something specific it requires sorting through a kind of Sanford and Sons Junkyard to try and uncover the treasure we are seeking. The Strasburg Emporium offers a much more orderly presentation of artifacts and collectibles--especially in the domed section where Julie has attractively appointed areas with a decorator's flair. We had the opportunity to meet her and send her on a scavenger hunt for what we desired. With a strong knowledge of the inventory of the entire mall, she soon returned with several options--one which we purchased. It was so refreshing to shop in an airy mall where we did not have to fear that the slightest false move might create a cascade of collectibles crashing to the floor. Although we did not take advantage of the restaurant in the front of the mall, it seemed to have an attractive menu and offer a palatable repast for the visitor who might linger longer than we did.

Very eclectic - some pieces of really cool mid century modern furniture, all kinds of other "stuff" just fun to look at, lots of things for collectors too. Very large building you could spend hours in.

We are Civil War buffs, not antiques freaks. But my wife got on an antiques binge several years ago. She wanted to collect Sterling silver napkin ring holders, with personal names or initials. Over the years, she has collected nearly 50. It isn't difficult to track them down. Most antiques stores don't carry them. They are rare. But some of the first ones she purchased came from the Strasburg Antiques Emporium in Strasburg, Virginia. We love the Shenandoah Valley so every time we are in the area we stop in Strasburg. It is an historic town at the head of the Shenandoah Valley, a good jumping off spot for Route 11, the old Valley Pike, in the heart of Civil War country. The Emporium advertises the "largest selection of antiques and collectibles in the Shenandoah Valley" and that's no idle boast. With over 50,000 square feet of space, there isn't anything you can't find if you're looking for it. And it is well organized and beautifully displayed, unlike many antiques stores that I have experienced. We spend a few hours in Strasburg during a recent three-week vacation and, not surprisingly, I discovered several books on the Civil War, World War II, Arlington National Cemetery, Mark Twain, Lewis & Clark and even Ayn Rand that piqued my interest. My wife also found some glassware that dates to the early 1800s. All good bargains. We have visited many antiques stores in our travels, especially in the South and East, and we have never experienced anything to compare to the Strasburg Antiques Emporium in terms of size and variety and organization and prices. For those who aren't familiar with the area, Strasburg is 90 minutes west of Washington D.C. via I-66 and two miles south of I-81 (exit 298) on U.S. Route 11. It's well worth the trip.

This is a fairly large antique store with many vendors. Some prices are negotiable and others not. Depends on the vendor. If your looking for fleatique items, on one side there is an outside entrance where there is a pretty good selection. Worth a stop. I've purchased mid-priced items there several times.

The Strasburg Emporium Antiques is HUGE and filled with a great number of antique dealers. If you go here, plan on spending at least two hours or more because there is just so much to see and touch. There are oil lamps from the Etruscan age (supposedly) to wine glasses from last week's visit to the Barrell Oak Winery just a few miles back down I-66 and a lot of Civil War "stuff" such as bullets, coins, paper money, photographs and who knows what else. There is glass ware, china, furniture, silverware, bottles, linens and lots and lots of estate jewelry. Some dealers have sales and there is a little room for "dickering"--about 10% off if you pay cash or write a check. But as another reviewer wrote, be prepared to part with a goodly amount of money if you pick up just a "few" items. My wife found a very nice beaded clutch purse and a small English stoneware pitcher. It is a fun place--go--wander around and buy a piece of yesterday.

The Strasburg Emporium is huge! We spent several hours this past weekend browsing through everything, and enjoying looking at all of that history. I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of people who could help open display cabinets. I might have bought some of the jewelry had I been able to actually see it up close. I understand keeping it under lock and key, but it would've been nice if they'd had employees walking around able to help people.

We opened our 2013 antiquing season traveling to Strasburg's Emporium Antiques. It's very typical of antique dealers who has amassed together to present everything under the sun. It's relatively easy to travel through the huge building and uncover the treasures from a time gone by. No matter your age, you'll find something that will jog your memory banks and take you back to the time when... Checkout is a breeze. It's a good idea to take some hand wipes to "clean-up" every one and a while. Although, the different vendors do spend adequate time keeping their inventory clean and organized.

Always enjoy sorting through all the "goodies" at the Emporium. Always go there when in the area. It's worth the time to go there at least once.

this place is packed with all kinds of things you would never find anywhere else. enjoy it!! plan on spending a few hours walking through here. it felt more like a hands on museum than a store to me :) my husband and i spent over two hours gawking at all the items for sale, and we left with only a bag of marbles. if you arent carreful though, you could rack up a pretty hefty bill

I looked around this mall for a few hours but could have spent days. I loved the vast amount and quality of the Antiques on display and saw many items that were more than great prices.
