This winery is on the Southern Virginia wine trail and is one of the best. I love their Sunrise Surrender while my husband really likes the Burley Red. We stop by frequently to chat with the proprietors, Shirley and Boyd Archer, in their friendly tasting room. A real treat!

If you want to take a trip to the country with family and friends this is your place!A quaint Mom and Pop Winery that's family and pet friendly with award winning wines!!Shirley and Boyd Archer have taken a 100 year old mansion and built it into an delightful stop along the Southern Wine Trail.The picnic area allows you to both taste their many choices of wine and have a lovely lunch in the vineyard plus see how the wines are made from the tasting room.Did I mention the goats? Shirley has a little if everything from goats to horses in the pasture and if course her own friendly group of doggies!Parties and weddings can also be organized so give Shirley a call and come enjoy all that Bright Meadows Farm has to offer!
