We were impressed by the winery but felt the wines and vines need a little more time. This would be a beautiful setting for a wedding except the location is not close to hotels.

Beautiful building and grounds, amazing tasting room. Wine selection is a little smaller, but the wines were pretty good.

Hi We are currently having a terrible experience with them . Have send them two e mails one in Jan 23 rd 2015 , then again in Jan 30 th . Asking pretty much the same questions we would like to have a wedding there send us information . I have also called and left several messages . They never replied back . At this point all I can say is they lost a valuable customer who was willing to spend considerable amount of money for a wedding there . They don't seem to be appreciative .

Morais a romantic vineyard close to Warrenton, so convenient if you're interested in a wine loop. They have a spectacular circular tasting room and beautiful mansion-like event room with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We liked their Cabernet, but really loved their Cherry cordial and fortified Moscato - similar to brandy or Grand Marnier, but at 18% alcohol.

Six of us went today. It's a beautiful tasting room. Staff was friendly and informative. The red wine is especially good. They have a good number of wines in their tasting. Great time

We had never heard of Morais but decided to give it a try because it was half way between where the two of us couples lived. I am so glad we found this place. Not only is it beautiful and clean, but everyone is so nice and the wines are quite delicious! Because we had two infants with us, they did our tastings at our table, which was amazing, It was so helpful that we did not have to stand at the bar and "hurry" our tasting along. The wines were good and they also give you a few nibbles to pair with a few of your tastings. The prices are also very comparable to the rest of Virginia! If we are in that area again, we will definitely stop by for another visit.

I loved the facility and the Portuguese styled wines. What was less appealing was that the place was filled with children. Being in a romantic setting tasting delicious wine and food pairings with the din of child noises was not ideal for me at all. Don't get me wrong, I raised 2 kids but I didn't include them when wine tasting.

Let me first clarify in light of other reviews. Virginia wineries almost never offer free tastings. A fee between $5 and $10 is standard stuff, not only here but along the East Coast. But the tasting at Morais includes a small sampler of meats, cheeses, and chocolates to pair with their wines, which makes this a very good deal. And no, I do not work for the winery. :-)We were attracted to the winery because they advertise themselves as making wine in the Portguese-style, and my wife and I love Ports and dry reds from the Duoro Valley. The winery is only a few years old, so they need more time before producing a port-style wine. And some of their wines are not terribly distinctive. But they do some things very, very well. The Battlefield Green is their take on a vinho verde featuring Albarino grapes, and it is good. They handle Cab Franc very well -- the Rose is excellent and the Cab Franc light but full of fruit and pepper (black pepper, not bell pepper -- the latter is a sign of underripeness). And the Moscatel... I was skeptical, but this is very much like a lighter version of a tawny port. It was wonderful.Very kid friendly. I do think that their wines are a bit overpriced, especially the whites.

The tastings were $8 and $15 which was a surprise since most tasting are free. But after the first few samples we decided to go for the $15 tasting which includes the dessert wines. The serving size is much larger than all other wineries. They also serve you a tasting plate of cheese, crackers, meat and chocolate. I would highly recommend hitting this winery for the tasting.

Visited Morais Vineyards and was very impressed with the tasting room and our server, Jamie. She was very knowledgable and friendly. She took the time to explain the wines and suggested pairings. The facilities are superb and we look forward to a return visit. Would only suggest they attempt to offer some food choices for guests.

The tasting experience at Morais far exceeded the others we had over an entire weekend. They have skillfully paired each wine with a complimentary food- cheese, chocolate, etc, which did not happen for the rest of the weekend (except for the Hershey kiss offered at another winery!). The tasting room is stunning, and the on-site venue would be a perfect setting for a party or wedding. Our server was exceptional- a fantastic experience overall.

Gourgeous setting in Bealeton of all places. Only open two days - Saturday and Sunday 12 - 6 PM. No wine club needed because they sell all their wine at the tasting room or through venues such as weddings. Whites, rose, reds and after diner wines. The wine maker is Portugese and it shows in the style of wines. We ended up taking home a case of mixed wines.

My husband and I stopped by Morais for a tasting, and were very pleased with what was offered. I did the classic tasting ($8 for 8 tastings) and my husband had the deluxe ($15 for 11 tastings plus a souvenir glass). In addition, both tastings included a small plate of meat, cheese, breadsticks and chocolate. The wines were of good quality, and the staff member who assisted us (Candace) was friendly and knowledgeable. This is certainly a winery we would visit again and recommend to friends. The atmosphere was elegant, and it seems to be a lovely place for events if one is in the market for that.

I was surprised to see how many posters were dissatisfied with this vineyard. While not my favorite Virginia winery, I would go back and take other friends and family. Our first visit was during the summer 2013 and it was just my husband and I. We decided to visit a few wineries on a Saturday afternoon and Morais was our first stop. During this first visit the new tasting room was not open yet and the former tasting room seemed to be in the basement of the main building. It was a small circular room but I thought it was interesting with the brick wine bottle holder around the outside of the room. I do not recall the name of the woman who poured for us but she was very friendly and patient with me as I asked questions. They are two tasting options, the first I believe is $10 or $12 and you taste 6 or 7 wines and the second option is $15, you get to keep the glass and includes 3 additional dessert wines. The tasting came with a small plate of cheese, meat and crunchy bread sticks and the dessert tasting came with two types of chocolate and then a cookie with fruit and cheese for the other dessert wine. We had a great time and the woman who poured for us took us into the side room to show us where they actually stomp the grapes. Our second visit was this month (Jan 2014) and we took my brother-in-law and his fiance. The new tasting room was open this time and it was very large, open and bright compared to the previous tasting room. There was some sort of event with bridal vendors although is seemed to be winding down by the time we got there. I personally thought the DJ had the music a little too loud, it seemed it made the other patrons talk louder than necessary but it didn't really affect our visit. We walked up to the bar and sat down and were greeted by Lucia. She got us the plate of meat, cheese and bread sticks again which had more than during our previous visit. She began pouring for us. Her pours were very generous and she was fun to talk with throughout. It didn't seem extremely for having tour people pour so there was some lag time between wines but since we were with family we talked and joked so again it didn't really impact our visit. We did the $15 tasting to do the dessert wines again. The sweets this time were a little different but still tasty. I will say if you don't like sweet wine you might want to stay away from this tasting because the dessert wines are extremely sweet (and I like sweeter wines) but I think it's worth it and fun to try regardless. The last wine, their cherry wine was fun and since Valentine's Day is coming up they had multiple size bottles of this including a cute heart shaped one. Since we finished the cherry bottle Lucia also gave us the cherries from the bottle which I thought was fun. It appears with the new tasting room open they do alot more events on the weekends that sound worth it. Lucia said that the tasting fee included anything they do on the weekends so I always recommend checking the website before going to see what they have going on.

Visited with family and two young children. The lady that did our tasting was wonderful...extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We sat at a table and did the tasting, which included a plate of bread sticks, cheese and ham. We were also able to talk with the wine maker which was an added bonus. Their wines are Portuguese and so good that we purchased 2 cases. Loved thier Rose! My daughter got her own plate of snacks (hers had some chocolate included), and she really enjoyed the horses. A great experience, and I am sure we will be back!
