I received this as a Birthday gift from my wife and kids. The people working were all great and helpful. I had a blast, and it was amazing. Ive been watching racing my whole life,I gained a whole new level of respect for drivers. I ran a ride along and drove 20 laps. It took about a few laps to really get comfortable and start enjoying it, so I only wish a few practice laps were given for that reason. Overall, I had a great time, and would love to do it again.

I have never wasted so much time in one day in my entire life. The staff are unorganized and failed to give directions when appropriate. We spent more time waiting than actually riding! We arrived for a 9:30 am ride along and waited around until 1 pm. There was only one car operable and one instructor. The ride itself (3 laps) lasted about 3 minutes. When we arrived down to the track, there weren't any staff members to tell us what to do. Some stood around waiting for directions while others just grabbed equipment thinking that this was what we should do. The order to ride was so unorganized that we watched several people who had appointments after us, ride before us. The photographs the staff took were blurry - good thing I didn't buy them! ...just terrible! I would never in a million years do this "racing experience," let alone go back to the Stafford Springs location.

Great time! people very friendly and helpful, the training class was a bit dragged out with "one time i " stories. over all well done though. Pit crew people were very knowledgeable and made you feel safe without taking away the thrill and fun! Cars were a bit older than i expected, but again they were race cars and once the engine fired you knew it!I would suggest timing at least one lap or even all laps so we knew who had the fastest lap among those that are on the track racing with you, with a print out at the end. Opening a couple food stands would be nice too, had my family with me, would have been nice to be able to buy some snacks.I will be doing this again as soon as possible!

We (me, my son and nephew) did the race car driving today at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford, CT. It was a blast !! Like the instructor said if you can get into the car you can do it. This is a 1/5 mile track so you have to get used to getting on it and backing off frequently. You can reach speed of just over 100 mph. Would do it again only more laps.. If you are a NASCAR fan and you have the opportunity, DO IT...

My husband surprised me with a gift to the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience in Stafford Springs, CT. Arranging for the event was quick and easy and staff available via phone to answer any questions you had in advance of the event including rain-date and rescheduling. Upon arrival everyone was very informative and friendly. The instructor lead training was very thorough with ample opportunity to ask as many questions as you would like. Having never raced a “real race care” I was apprehensive. Upon proceeding to trackside and entering the car the pit crew could not have been more accommodating and very, very supportive with additional pit side instruction. Before you know it I was on the course and had an outstanding time. The crew was very safety conscious; the headsets with 1-1 instructions were clear and surely helped to make my experience even more enjoyable. Thank you so much to the crew at the Stafford Springs location for building my confidence and being there from start to finish supporting me. As a side the track was well maintained and the cars were well taken care of. I opted to take a dry-run with an instructor in advance which was helpful because he explained all the track signals, when to accelerate vs slow down. Thanks Team Rusty Wallace for a time of my life and a great race to the finish line! PS I enjoyed my video and picture as well.

My wife gave me a LivingSocial voucher for the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience for my birthday. My father did the experience in Fontana and had a blast, so I could not wait. I was definitely not disappointed and recommend this to ANYONE.As a fan of motor sport racing, especially the three major NASCAR touring series’, and having watched many races at Stafford Motor Speedway, I was excited to get a chance to run a stock car at the track. The staff was courteous and helpful, and was constantly looking to make the experience the best that it could be. The on track experience was phenomenal and gives you an appreciation, albeit only from a tiny taste, of what NASCAR Nationwide or Sprint Cup series is like.I would highly recommend the added ride-a-long package before driving the track yourself to see where the racing lines are and get an appreciation of how fast the pro can get you around the track.I will be doing this again someday, perhaps at a different track. I would also love to try these things at a road course some time!

If you are a race fan or just have the need for speed, this is no doubt for you! I purchased a three lap track tour with a professional driver and 20 laps driving by myself. I would have paid double without any hesitation after I had finished my 20 laps! The experience left me wanting more, the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. They even answered my technical questions regarding the track cars. These are real race cars, and had no problems delivering speeds well over one hundred miles per hour. This is a very real experience, you can drive to your comfort level. If you have a bit of experience driving fast, this will meet your expectations even at your level! I would recommend this to anyone who has always wanted to be in a race car or to the person who has been sitting on the fence waiting for that perfect opportunity to be in a real race car on a real race track, just do it! You will have no regrets except for the fact that you did not purchase enough laps!

I've been watching racing for 30 years. This was my first time in an actual race car on a track. The driver was great!! The turns don't look tight until your in the car. I was amazed and have upped my respect for the short track racers there!!

My wife purchased this ride along experience for me for my birthday. It was awesome. From scheduling a time and day to check in to the actual ride. Everyone was polite and helpful and there was no pressure to purchase any add ons such as pictures or videos. I am ready to go to more tracks as a driver.

Class started late a car crashed in the class before me, they mixed in two classes together and could not get off the infield for over an hour! I only ended up doing 7 of the 10 laps I think they were trying to make up time! There are better driving experiences out there I did one in NH and loved it! don't waste your money!

I purchased this gift for my future son-in-law. He is a car mechanic by trade but loves hobbies such as shooting, 4 wheelin', hunting & fishing. I wasn't sure if he would be as excited as I was to see him participate at this attraction. We went today June 21st, it was a beautiful day & he was ABSOLUTELY excited. He was the last rider to go from his group & as he said "It was well worth the wait." After his ride-along he got out of the car with a HUGE smile on his face & both thumbs up(as I looked through binoculars). He got to talk with the race car driver & then said I think I'll sell my boat & buy a race car. My husband who is not a racing fan had a wonderful time seeing our future son-in-law have so much fun. Thank you. It was great fun for the family!

I purchased the Need For Speed Package as a Christmas gift for my husband last November and a few of our friends decided to join us.We booked our race for a Saturday in early June, at the recommendation of the person who booked us. After months of waiting and anticipation, we were all very excited and ready to race!Unfortunately, the day before our race, the weather was horrible with rain on and off all day and more rain expected that night. I called Friday to see if we were still scheduled for the next morning and was told to call a certain phone number the next morning. I explained to the operator that we were scheduled to race at 9 a.m. and were instructed to get there no later than 8:30 and we would need to leave by 7:30 to get there on time. The operator assured me that someone could give me an update as early as 6:00 a.m. Well, morning of our race, we started calling at 6:00 and every 10 minutes after. Instead of an update telling us if we were still racing, we kept getting the same pre-recorded voicemail message from the night before. Although that message said indicates an update would be posted Saturday morning, that never happened. So, we had no choice but to drive out there on a very gray and dreary morning with rain clouds looming overhead. When we arrived around 8:20, the entrance gate was locked and the people scheduled to race at 8:00 a.m. were standing around waiting. They had also called that morning for an update but never got one either. Nobody there seem knew what was going on or if the track was dry enough to race. When someone finally came over and opened the gate, they still couldn't confirm wether or not the track was dry enough for us to race. We were then told to wait in line to fill out forms and then sent inside to attend a 45 minute instruction. During that time it drizzled a few rain drops so we still weren't certain that we'd be able to race. Finally, around 9:45, we were lead out onto the track with the racers who were scheduled for 8:00. There was never an explanation or apology offered by any if the staff. One of my friends paid for a video, but found out after the race, when he tried to view it, that it didn't record. Another friend found out after the race, that her photo didn't come out. Needless to say, both were very disappointed. Overall, it was a unique and exhilarating experience but the organizers should make it a point to communicate better and update their voicemail messages much earlier in the morning. We will definitely race again, but will try to find a different racing company before coming back to this one.

This was the first attraction in eons that I truly enjoyed myself - I chose the ride along option for my husband and myself and had such a blast we are still talking about it. The staff was courteous, organized and accommodating to everyone in the group - plus the drive along was exhilarating - can't be beat!
