Some people say that Central Park keeps New York City residents sane... Same holds true of this gem of a park. I am glad they opened it to non-residents; helps to fight the snobbish reputation of our town. Beautiful beaches, sunrises, sunsets, dog walking, community events, and beautifully maintained by the town. Fireworks on July 4th are a special event. Thanks Town of Greenwich!!!

More commonly known as Tods Point, this 'point' sticks out into the Atlantic. Lots of places to bike, walk, hike. Gorgeous spot. Days I was there incredible sunset views of NYC skyline. Free in winter, but costly in summer if you don't live in Greenwich.

I lived in California the last 10 years and I'm very critical of beaches; this one is hands down the best on the East Coast! It has everything you could ask for, a spacious sandy beach, concession stands with surprisingly delicious food, tons of trails with varying difficulties for those who want to take a stroll and those who want to hike, a boating club, hidden gems like the secret garden and tons of history! The original Todd's mansion ruin spot has one of the best views in the park! The best part though, is that on a clear day you can see the NY skyline from the beach. It's also great for bbqing and picnics. Hands down, amazing beach!

Nice views, good beach, great place for a walk, picnic, or hanging out. You have to purchase a day pass if you aren't a resident with a beach pass.

Although we live in Greenwich, it is worth the trip and fee if you don't have beach access and don't live too far away. We have visited other area beaches and find this one to be outstanding. As another reviewer noted, the parking pass is $25 and $6 per person. This is not too bad if you spend the day. There are a number of off the beaten path trails. One of my favorites is the Holly Grove. Our routine is to find a place on the beach in the shade, do some walking around The Point and the find one of the picnic tables for early dinner and grill chicken or kid staples like hamburgers at one of the grills.

Greenwich Point is of great interest (especially relating to family history). However, you will find that this local attraction is just that! Local!... From May 1 to Oct 31, if you are a non-resident visitor, your fees are $25 for your car plus $6 per person. You may pick up your passes at the Town Hall, 101 Field Point Rd -or- Eastern Greenwich Civic Ctr, 90 Old Harding Rd, Old Greenwich (ph 203.637.4583). Folks on the other end of this line were polite and informative.

This is our new favorite beach escape from NYC. We grab a zip car and drive the 45 min from Riverdale, drop by the Parks Center to pick up our passes, and enjoy a very pleasant day at the beach. Because of the parking fee and entrance fee, most outsiders are deterred from this great spot on Long Island Sound, but we loved the privacy, the pleasant waves, the abundance of hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, and sea snails, and the sparse crowd. This beach has a history of being a secluded treasure. See this article in New York Magazine: http://nymag.com/guides/summer/2007/34003/For our NYC family, avoiding the crowds at Coney Island is worth every penny of those fees. The concession stands there are cheaper and adorable, the showers are abundant and the beach is pristine. You won't be disappointed!

Estive em Old Greenwich no inverno e mesmo assim valeu a pena a visita ao parque. Ele é realmente lindo, recomendo para famílias. Gostei bastante.
