Last night we went to see the Chieftain's perform at the Jorgensen. I have been a few times for a variety of shows or presentations. It never disappoints. The seating is comfortable and the student ushers are very attentive. There is not a bad seat in the house and the sound is excellent no matter where you sit. I also greatly appreciate the knowledgable, considerate and appreciative audiences. An added bonus is that there is always plenty of free parking. Great place to see a show or lecture.

Great show by the Boston Pops! The staff was very friendly and helpful with finding our seats. Bars were open during intermission, but make sure you bring cash! Also, parking at the North Garage is free for shows at the Jorgensen.

After moving to CT. from the NYC area, I feared missing my beloved B'way the most. However, the Jorgensen, located on UConn campus, puts on high quality shows, whether concerts or Broadway musicals/plays. My Fair Lady and Urinetown were awesome productions and I've seen the originals on B'way!! Added plus? No traffic/tolls/high parking fees or massive crowds. We love to send our guests from The Daniel Rust House B&B there for a special night out.

Like the fact that it is a relatively intimate environment; good pricing; easy ticket availability; easy parking; attracts outstanding performers

What a great theater. Tables that seat 4 with food and drinks available before the performance. Very intimate setting.

This center for the performing arts is part of the University of Connecticut which is located a way from most urban areas. The Jorgenson has a full lineup each season of events that one would ordinarily have to travel a distance to enjoy. A great community asset, allows easy access to theatre, opera, symphony performance and many other things. Well organized with excellent acoustics with a friendly and accommodating staff.

The acoustic is fantastic and it is great space to go to see a musical or any other performance. Went there several times and because is very well known by people in the area I would certainly recommend buying tickets in advance.

The shows that are on UCONN campus are wonderful! I have seen several of the shows and have been impressed by the quality of performance, and design.

Great performances year round in a beautiful venue. There is indoor parking a short walk from the auditorium and a number of new restaurants have opened nearby to make it a perfect evening out.

This is a beautful theater with a great view of the stage from any angle. We arrived here to attend a show and had a hard time trying to figure out where the event parking was supposed to be. Signage would help.At intermission we got in line to buy water. We waited in line throughout the entire intermission. By the time we reached the front of the line, the bartender announced that they were closing up. I was thoroughly annoyed! There were only 4 of us left in line, and we couldn't get water? I would certainly come back to The Jorgensen, but next time I'm bringing water bottles with me.

Nice little venue for local events. I went there three times. Once for a musical, my daughter's Ballet recital and John Legend Concert.

Jorgensen brings a wide range of entertainment to Storrs, from world class jazz and classical, to internationally acclaimed dance. It is easily accessible from I-84 (about 15 minutes off highway) and offers free parking right on campus if you are attending an event. Certain events offer light fare with the performance - a really great night out. Prices are extremely reasonable for the caliber entertainment. Also brings in great children's programming.

The line-up at this center continues to impress. They bring in world class acts for a very reasonable price. Great hall to hear music in.

This is a gem - a very eclectic series of performance events in an imtimate setting. I paired a sporting event with a performance in an all day visit to the University of Connecticut. Reasonable pricing and the caberet events are fun. The specific events may not be your cup of tea on any day, but this is just befitting the diversity of a major university. But do yourself a favor and at least check out what is there when you are.

We have seen many shows at Jorgensen, the most recent was "Man of Lamancha." The costumes, singing, and dancing were fabulous and I can't even imagine the barber or the man servant without bursting out in gales of laughter. The thing is, most of their shows are this way. The calibur of their performances is second to none. My kids (16 yrs and 22 yrs) are always inquiring as to which show we will see next. They absolutely love it. The price is reasonable so a family can go and enjoy the theater, especially if they watch out for local coupons and deals that come out every so often.
