Stopped by for lunch yesterday in my travels... Very much enjoyed your homemade gnocchi with butternut squash, brussel sprouts and buttery sage pesto sauce - out of this world!! Nice selections on menu for those of us who are vegetarian. Jenna was my server and was very attentive and accommodating to my requests. Thank you :) Your facility is beautiful and I love that you feature artists' work in your space. I will definitely be back!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent wine. Impromptu dinner was fantastic on a weeknight. Always a fun time.

We went in the fall and it was still gorgeous. I can only imagine how beautiful this place could be when the flowers and plants are in bloom, or even covered in snow. A must go on the CT wine trail.

On a cool rainy night last week, my husband and I pulled into Chamard's vineyard and restaurant. I was skeptical, but the competent staff and bright atmosphere immediately set us at ease. The restaurant has a good brasserie feel, and excellent menu. We had salads - do have the frise and poached egg salad, it's a big portion and could be shared. The dressing was good, the locally sourced egg was perfect, but the temperature of the underlying greens and lardon/bacon was a little too cold. The mâché salad looked amazing. Entrees were excellent, both the duck and the chicken were well present and spiced and the sides were good. We regret not ordering the steak frites which our neighbors order and completed with utter glee.Wines, of course we're all Chmard, and they offered wine in all sizes from tasting through glasses and the bottle. All the wines exceeded my expectations and inspired me to put Chamard's on my - will absolutely drink list. They are committed to farm to table and several of the entrees are notably and locally sourced.I suspect summer on the patio will be fabulous, and I am definitely returning.

The best. Two great tasting rooms, tons of space, great picnic area, great view of grapes, good shopping and it's easy to get too.

My husband's daughter and her boyfriend took us here while we were visiting them; it's one of their favorites and I can see why. The pork chops with morels were mouthwatering--I even enjoyed a bite of a rare ( unusual for me) rib eye. Yumo! The staff covered us up with service and the location is just beautiful. Can't wait to come back again.

This is the 5th time visiting Chamard for a wine tasting. The staff is not very friendly but we keep going back to sample the wines.

Beautiful vineyard with good wine. Three of us went on a Sunday afternoon. The vineyard was having some type of private party, and staff seemed a little askew, but we just waited patiently. They had live music in the tasting room and the food looked amazing. After tasting the wines, we decided to buy a bottle and walk around the vineyard. They do have tables on the terrace, but they were all filled. Lots of places to take photos. A wonderful experience.

I've been to Chamard with my boyfriend several times, and have never been disappointed. I'm a fan! The wine is delicious and varied, and the service is impeccable - we especially appreciate Paul, who is friendly, candid, and funny. The grounds are beautiful, especially under a summer sunset. We like the menu and atmosphere in the tasting room, where we often have the cheese plate and the Mediterranean platter. We've eaten in the more formal dining room, and the food was alright but not stellar, and the service was not as friendly. I fully recommend it for a relaxed, entertaining evening with some fun varieties of wine.

This was the first of 4 stops on my friend’s birthday wine tasting weekend. The grounds and actual building was beautiful and the wine barrel art above the bar was a nice touch as well. The wines were good and the gentleman who did our tasting was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint was that I’m a huge fan of reds (particularly their 2012 merlot) but their bottle of red was very expensive at $40 so I left without making a purchase. The whites were reasonably priced and my friend wbought a bottle of white and a bottle of their delicious dessert wine. The food menu looked great but it was still early so we didn’t order anything. We would definitely visit again.

A friend and I visited this vineyard over a holiday weekend. It was very crowded, and the service was not great. However, the wine is good & the grounds are really lovely! We did a wine tasting (good variations) and then bought a glass to drink by the pond. Sooo beautiful outside!

Yes, I'm a fan but the meal I had chosen was not good. I order the mac & cheese with 4 cheeses...yes that's 4 cheeses! Honestly it was the worst mac & cheese I ever had but I ate it because I was hungry. My friends tasted it and thought the same. I could not taste any cheese and when I first put the fork it to take some out all I saw was water. The waiter offered to replace it but I said don't bother, so they took it off the bill. However the camembert cheese appetizer was excellent and my 3 other dining partners all enjoyed their meals. I really enjoyed the chardonnay also, we finished off 2 bottles. I'm not a big fan of dessert wine but we all tried it and I enjoyed it, not too sweet but just enough. The dining area was great, the space was beautiful and the view out the windows was great too. The artwork on display was a pleasure to look at too. We took a walk out into the vineyard after the meal. After Sharpe Hill vineyard this is my second favorite in CT. We will be going back in the future. Just fix that make and cheese! Make the Martha Stewart recipe with gruyere cheese in it.

Spent nearly 2 hours at the tasting bar just to get 5 tastes of mediocre wine for $10+ tax...$15+ if I wanted the glass! I savor my tastings and enjoyed conversation with a couple of other parties, but come on!! Chamard changed ownership about 3 years ago, now. This was my 2nd time back during this regime and I'd have to say the operation has really gone down hill. While a bistro has been added and food is available in the wonderful tasting room & patio as well, the wine offerings are relatively poor. Historically, most wines were from estate grapes and often there'd by something unusual recently "found" from an extensive cellar of aged vintages. Under the current ownership, options are limited and come from NY, CA, and Chile. Chamard is a great property, but the winery operations are now sub-par. Service and industry knowledge were horrendous!

No outside food. What? That's lame. What kind of winery does that. Nobody is around to direct where to go. Slow expensive tasting. Ordered wine and I didn't hear a thing about how it's made or what they do to it. Cheese plate was good. So that made up for not being able to bring food in. Staff could be better. Maybe with time this place will fit in with the other awesome wineries in CT.

I did like the wine, here. The view is pretty nice. The food is not good. They made a fritatta that was nasty.
