Very nice lake and perfect for a day trip with family. There are two beach/swimming areas. Cabins to rent if needed (some are nicer than others). There is a nice big 'community center' type of building for rent for large groups or reunions overlooking the lake. There are many updates to the waterpark, so it is constantly improving.

The price to get in went up substantially over the past year, so it's really not work it just to fish or swim anymore. The cabins are in varying states of disrepair. Flint Creek used to be a really nice place to visit, but over the years, it's almost as if they've decided to not update or repair anything. Fishing piers that were once strong and steady are now wobbly with missing/broken boards. The cabins are showing signs of heavy use. And like I said, the price has went up to where it now costs 10 bucks for 3 people just to get inside.

I never write reviews but please read this. You will thank me. I use to work for the sheriff's department and I have seen crack houses that look nicer then this. We booked our stay over Christmas and thinking it would be a unique and fun Country Christmas. They said they were nice accommodations on the phone and that the cabin was nice. I arrived and was given keys for the cabin, pulled up and you could tell no one had driven in for quite a while. There was a broom leaning against the front door. Good thing because the leaves were so deep and the cob webs were so think. I walked in and ONLY 2 light bulbs worked in the whole cabin and the dead spider next to the fireplace was big enough to eat a small dog. I called the office to have maintenance fix the light bulbs. They brought me a 4 pack and told me to install them. Oh the 4 pack only had 2 light bulbs. I tried calling back and no one would answer the phone after the first call. The beds are at least 20 years old and literally have springs sticking through the mattress and the comforter had stains and stunk so bad we put them outside. I think they got the mattresses from the garbage. The AC did not work which is no surprise being the return air had been cleaned ever. Had mold growing on the vents.Half the trim was missing and the kitchen cabinets were all broken. The counter tops were so bad you could see the wood worn through from how old they were. I could go on but just look at the pictures. It is so sad they would rent these out in these horrific conditions. They are violating many health codes including the black mold growing inside the vents. We all got sick. This place should be shut down or at least some of the cabins. My wife's family lives in Wiggins and that was why we rented it to have them over. Never Again! I'm calling the State Health Department.Oh almost forgot, the stairs were so dark and bad because of no light bulbs, my mother in law fell and hurt herself bad.

My niece held her wedding at Flint Creek Park in the Lakeview Lodge. If you are looking for a more rustic and casual setting, this is it. The wedding was set outside with the lake in the background. The reception was both inside and outside of the lodge which is situated in a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful setting. It all turned out beautifully.

We have been going to Flint Creek since the boys were little. They are in their 30's now with young ones of their own. So I have a fondness for the place. I was somewhat disappointed to see the condition that the cabins are in. They are in need of some TLC. The matresses were horrible. You couldn't move without this loud noise accompanying each move. Not much sleep to be had. The carpets were actually sticky. Mattresses and carpets replaced would be a great start. There should be a list made everytime someone checks out of a cabin and repairs made on the property. It's just wear and tear and time. My husband, myself and another couple still enjoyed our weekend. We ruled out quite a few of our friends that wouldn't even consider coming back with us because of the conditions. We have very fond memories of this park and would love to return.

We stayed in cabin #15. Although the cabin was larger than expected,it was somewhat dirty with mildew in the shower and dirty baseboards. The porch was wonderful and the view outstanding. We did have a problem with noise from across the lake from a party till late into the night. The bed was HORRIBLE! It was hard and of poor quality. Overall the lake was beautiful and the view wonderful but the cabin was a disappointment especially for $130 a night. We could have stayed at the beach in a nice condo or hotel for that price. We may come back for the day but doubt we will ever stay overnight again.

We stayed at camp site #47 this weekend and it was wonderful! First time to camp here. Large shady sites~ clean bath rooms. It was very peaceful and relaxing! Will definitely stay there again!

I would have given this five stars if the slides would have been completed. They are still under construction. That was a major disappointment and the main reason we chose to spend our Labor Day weekend here. That being said however, for our first visit to this campground we were pleasantly surprised. We had read reviews on several sites that were not encouraging at all and so we were a little apprehensive, but we knew the only way to find out was to stay there ourselves. We camped in the Seneca loop in a small camper. We were on a site with full hook-ups. Our site was neat and not overgrown. We had no problems with ants or other bugs. Every morning our trash was picked up and a fresh bag was placed in our can. While the bath houses are obviously pretty old, they were clean and presentable. We enjoyed swimming in the private area reserved for campers and also in the day use area with the bigger beach. This campground is very wooded. It's not wide open spaces. If you enjoy booking a trip for a group of your friends to camp together, you're probably not even going to see each other, even parked on spots next to each other. You have your privacy, though. There are no street lights in the camping loops, so it's very dark at night, which we liked. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and do plan to go back again. If you want a decent map of the place, maybe you can get them to mail one to you. The one online is not clear at all, but the printed one they gave us at the gate was very clear.

Our family has been camping at Flint Creek since 1990. We started out by camping in tents, and now we have a pull behind camper. Over the years, we have noticed a decline in the cleanliness of the park. We just returned from a three night stay in the Kahaka section of the park. Like clock work, the park attendants used to pick up the trash from the garbage cans every morning. This time, our trash wasn't picked up until Monday morning, the last day of our stay. Also, the bath house was awful. There was no toilet paper for the whole time we were there. Also, the shower room still has the same old moldy shower curtain as it did last year...the one with big red poinsettias on it! The floor of the shower is cracked and caving in. There were dead bugs and thick dirt around the edging of the shower. Not to mention that the door lock is still broken since our last visit. What's sad is that right before my daughter and I went in to shower, the attendant just left out from cleaning. As we walked in, and smelled like disinfectant, but it definitely wasn't clean nor was any toilet paper put out. The campsite was as expected. Lots of room and privacy between our neighbors. The picnic tables need to be upgraded. The lake is alot of fun, the kids enjoyed swimming. The swings at the lake are all broken except one. They are currently doing construction on the water park so it was closed. One last thing to mention, all three of our children became sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Not sure if it was something they ate or if it was something in the lake water. None of us four adults were sick and neither of us went swimming. Sorry for the bad review, our children grew up with fond memories of Flint Creek, but we will be searching for a new campground to create more memories.

We just completed our 2nd annual outing to Flint Creek. We stayed at waterfront Cabin 23 this year, cabin 25 last year. I bring my 20' Proline.Only 40 minutes north of our homes on the coast, Flint Creek provides us the opportunity to get the kids and grandkids together for some outdoor fun and recreation on the water.Tubing, knee/wake boarding and just boating was the order of the day while sitting around the campfire eating smores was the nightly activity. All the facilities at Flint Creek are showing their age but the cabins are adequate for a few days. Some new mattresses would be nice and safer railings on the elevated deck would be better for the young kids.If you are looking for a hotel type stay, go somewhere else - this is a rustic setting. The Flint Creek reservoir is big enough to handle a high number of boats engaged in tubing or kneeboarding. Saturday and Sunday was crowded on the water but not to the point of being unsafe. The water park renovation does not appear to be far along. I would be surprised if it were opened this season. We are already planning for our 3rd annual family outing to Flint Creek in 2015.There are cleaner, newer places but Flint Creek is convenient and affordable for us. Do your homework if you don't know what to expect.

The sofa and love seat looked like they had never been vacumed. Couch was ripped..light fixtures had tons of crud in them. High ceilings had tons of spider webs. Shower wall had a hole in it...great place for critters to hide. Bottom of oven door hanging off. I found roach droppings on the kitchen island. The overhang on the deck had hundreds of wasp and bug nests...looks like they have never tried to remove them. From what I saw online it looked like you could swim behind your cabin. .you cannot. We did not stay and have asked for our money back..Neither the cabin or b re hind the cabin were well represented online. I will not go back.

This whole cabin is basically a glorified outdoor shed with plumbing, cold A/C, hotwater, kitchen (small), 2 full bathrooms upstairs and down (they're rather small too), 2 double beds on the first floor and a queen size and a twin bed in the loft. I'll list the Pro's and Con's of this place and let you decide.PRO: Tank of gas getaway from New Orleans that not gonna break your wallet. If you have a boat, bring it! You can run your boat on beach behind the cabin to use the following day. There's a cabin Store just outside of the Park and a Walmart up the road should you need anything else. Our Cabin was pretty clean, just a little shabby and aged.CON: Park website is garbage! Like the cabins, it needs an upgrade!! ALL mattresses need an upgrade, they were a bit noisy and uncomfortable. Outside area all around the cabin need some serious attention. The place was littered with cigarette butts, beer bottle tops, busted water balloon debris and beer cans thrown in the fire pit. The main feature of Flint Creek, the Water Slide, was under construction during our stay and I was told before I booked my reservations that it would be open for service by then.....big disappointment for my 6 year old! If I wouldve known the slide would be out of service, I would've considered another place. For the Price, not bad. But Flint Creek could be so much better with some TLC and renovations.Would I stay here again? Maybe. But I would check out other Parks with a cabin stay before doing so

We rented cabin 29. The cabin was disgustingly dirty. The shower had a lot of mildew. The indoor/outdoor carpet was spotted, it looked like it has not been replaced since it was built. The kitchen had linoleum floors which were spotted and filthy. The stove was grimy. The oven was not full size. The counters were gross. The kitchen sink don't look like it has ever been cleaned. The microwave was dirty and small. Do not plan to use any of their kitchen utensils. The cabin had a foul smell. The beds were very uncomfortable. After bringing cleaning products and going into town to buy cleaning products, pots, pans, etc. and taking hours to clean the cabin I still didn't feel comfortable staying in there. The roads to the cabins were horrible. The list goes on. I will NEVER go back!

We rented cabins 15 and 16 for three nights to enjoy some quiet time with our family. The cabins were not cleaned prior to our arrival as there was a dirty sock on the floor, dead bugs in the tub and on the floor, the dust on the lamps was so thick you could write on it, and that was mold on the air vents. We immediately had to sweep the floor upon our arrival. My family has been to Flint Creek numerous times and were very disappointed to see that the cabins are not being maintained.
