Love the story that goes with the monument and the mural on the wall depicting the story too.Not a big attraction but I am so pleased I have seen it. All part of the blues jigsaw in the Mississippi Delta.

The depot is gone, but the rail bed, a concrete slab, and a wall portrait depicting the legendary 1903 encounter between W.C. Handy and an unnamed blues musician make the Tutwiler Train Depot site a special shrine for Delta Blues pilgrims. While in Tutwiler you should also stop at the Tutwiler Funeral Home on Hancock Avenue, from where in 1955 the body of Emmett Till was shipped to his mother in Chicago.
