I am so sorry you did not see the months, days and hours we are open on our Webpage. The directions to Bo's Hollow are also on the Webpage. I do hope you will be in our area again sometime between April and October and can give us another try.

Bo's Hollow is out of the way in a very scenic setting. We rode in a Model A car, toured several buildings showing how life was in the early 1900's and we able to pet their donkeys. In fact, if the donkeys see you and don't get petted, they will bray at you until you pet them. You can also buy freshly made BBQ sandwiches that are delicious. The owners were very friendly and showed us a great time. We spent a couple of hours there looking at things. For an extra fee, you can also pre-arrange a tour of the car restoration garage (we didn't, but we plan to go back there to see it in the future).

What a wonderful place to see, glad we stopped by! The staff was knowledgeable and all very very nice. The bbq lunch was delicious and it was very neat to be able to ride in a model A!

Besides the vintage cars and nostalgia the peopel are wonderful to talk to, it's fun to walk into ther past and remember how things were 90 years ago.

I liked that it was out of the way. Quite. Very frendly people. My kide were able to feed the chickens and pump their own water from a wellto drink.

If in the area this is worth the drive to check out especially if you like old cars. I have been there twice and will go back next time. There seems to be something for everyone to see and enjoy. While there have some ice cream and take some jerky home with you.

It's a gorgeous Ozark country drive. Getting there may be a bit scary for those used to only city driving (about a mile of gravel road) but it really isn't bad. The directions they give are very clear and easy. It's a small scale, little 1930's village. The buildings you can stroll in and out of (Usually only 2-4 people can fit in a building at a time). The meal is absolutely excellent BBQ and for $5 it's a real bargain so plan on coming for a meal. The jerky is excellent as well and the homemade buns are fantastic. It's not a big place but the family who runs it is worth coming to Salem to visit. They are the most friendly and fun family. The kids will love it. My country teens had an excellent time. Riding in the rumble seat of a Model A was definitely a highlight. The rides are $5. (Prices all for Aug. 2007). A little collection of antiques for purchase as well. You will not regret going.
