Not your ordinary ATV ride. If you are expecting to buzz along open trails this is not for you. This is a rough climb up a mountain over boulders. Definitely challenging but oh so worth it. Our guide was great. He helped us through the really hard stuff.

Mile Hi Rafting in Clear Creek County Colorado gave us an ATV tour that was really fun. We could see Mount Evans in the distance, and our guide was knowledgable and fun to be with. I give him many Kudos for the patience he gave me while showing me how to ride one of these bad boys. My first time, a little nervous. He took us up a mountainous terrain with more boulders than I have ever seen strewn across our path. Yes, we DID go over these rocks! The views on the way up were lovely as well. We did this in conjunction with the Georgetown Loop Train ride, it was a package deal. My entire family enjoyed this afternoon with these fun and exciting adventures!

Loved everything about this. The guides were funny, knowledgeable, patient with the new and scared riders (uh hem, ME!!) and lunch they provided was amazing! The 4wheeling tour that we did with the rafting was great too! Our guides really made the difference!

We just returned home from our annual Colorado trip, went white water rafting with mile hi for the second time, no disappointments , they have gone out of their way to keep us happy and that has earned them our repeat business, our family had a blast and will be back again.

We did the ATV's and the Sure Shot (the easiest) Raft trip with a lunch of turkey wraps, fruit, & cookies for lunch in between. Although- after the raft trip, we were spent and ready to eat again. The ATV's were fun and you must be 16 to ride. You go very slow up steep rocky inclines following each other with a guide in the front and back. Since we live in the Midwest, riding on steep, rocky mountains was not something we were used to, but it was fun and one of our guides took lots of pictures of us in action. All in all a good time. Now, for the rafting. To no fault of anyone's the water was extremely high, due to the excessive snow melt this year. The rapids were rough and I although this is a course that children can handle, I was EXTREMELY grateful that our 12 year old daughter was not with us. On two separate occasions I was nearly thrown out and if she would have been with us, she would have went out for sure. It was fun and extreme but the water was freezing cold and my feet were frozen the entire time. I opted out of renting the booties - HUGE mistake - as your feet are in water from the minute you launch. Water shoes are not enough. Listen to this tip - rent the booties. The whole trip took about 35 minutes and the water was rushing fast. Guides knew every rapid name and gave a little nice info/trivia about Clear Creek and the surroundings when we weren't being smacked in the face by the icy rapids. The only complaint I have is that we were told that there was someone taking pictures and when we were finally changed out of our wet suits, etc. I waited another 15 minutes only to be told by the gruff woman at the photo desk that she didn't think anyone took any pictures of our trip (mind you she never looked up from her computer screen) while we were talking. I usually buy pictures of everything but after waiting around that long and with a less than friendly and helpful picture lady, we decided to take off. Their loss on that. Aside from her, all of the other employees were very nice and accommodating.

Been on many ATV tours in various countries. Most are dirt roads, some are sand dunes. This one is pure Rocky Mountains. Very slow going over very rough boulder strewn roads. Much more technically challenging than the ordinary ATV tour. If looking for the normal tour, this is not it. If you want the challenge of true off roading and seeing the real power of an ATV, go on this tour. Guide was good and knowledgeable. One negative was the waiver that essentially forced you to pay an extra $10 per person for insurance. If you didn't take this you were on the line for $2500 minimum for any damage. Based on this being quite rocky, damage was a real possibility. Would rather they just "hide" the $10 fee in the price.

My family and I went on our second whitewater and ATV tour with this company. We enjoyed this company so much we had to come back. The people are vey nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Next time we are in Colorado I expect we will be back again.

Took a chance on their ATV tour while visiting nearby Winter Park. The good parts, yes, we drove on ATVs and the guide was friendly and knowledgable of the area. Cons? Well the trail was very rough, and the guide kept reminding us, this is the Rockies. The pre trip information shows drivers on a smooth ride in the mountains and woods, don't be fooled. There is a hugh rock/boulder at ever step. Also, you are held responsible for damages to their ATVS that could easily occur as a result of the route they use. Read youre disclaimers carefully please. We got much better views on local hikes that we took on our own so the only positive besides the guide doing his best to make it enjoyable is that we got to drive ATVS. I would seek another service if my plans included ATVs in this area.

We stumbled on them by accident as one of the last outfits that still runs so late in the season and they were great, very professional , provided wet suits, splash jackets and all that was needed, the guides were very great and we had a great time.

We took the 1 hour trip up the mountain to an old mine. It was different and fun, but one hour was enough. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable.

After planning a trip with Mile Hi as the cornerstone of the vacation I was informed via e-mail that they would not be able to accommodate. I was able to reach them via phone and was promised they would help make alternative arrangements. Throughout the course of the day, after I was already in Colorado mind you, I called and was assured that the owner would confirm these plans when he returned from a rafting trip. I began to feel uncomfortable and had another member of our party call and ask for Dan, who cheerily came to the phone. When asked why we were being avoided we were told "sorry dude, nothing I can do." If you are willing to play Russian Roulette with hard earned money and do not value integrity or good business practices, these are definitely the people for you. If you are making plans you should DEFINITELY find a different company.

I reserved with this company 3 months in advance and talked to Suzen Raymond, the manager, about every other week. Every time she told me water levels may be too low to raft but we could camp if we wanted to. The week before the trip we probably spoke three time, all of them regarded the water being too low but she wanted to confirm what we wanted for breakfast. 24 hours before we showed up she emailed (didn't have the decency to call) and said zoning prohibited us from camping if we didn't raft and good luck finding a new place to stay!!! When I called and asked why she couldn't have told us that earlier she had no answer and hung up. I hope this business fails and Suzen reads this review everyday as she goes to a temp agency looking for a part time job.

This business was recommend by a friend. They were right as they were thorough, organized and fun. We took the beginner trip with some 10 year olds and it was challenging and fun. The guide Mike was very informative and funny. We would do it again in a minute! It was totally worth it.

BEST experience ever! Great crew, fun rapids, & wet suits to help keep the cold water to a minimum. Sit in the front - you'll get soaked, but get the best view of the river & who goes river rafting not expecting to get wet?!

Took a one hour ATV tour from Mile Hi. While the guide was pleasant and informative, the route of the tour left a lot to be desired. The trip goes up an incredibly rocky road. While it has it's point, you can barely go 3 miles an hour on the ATV. They need a better run.
