This building is an historical and architectural treasure. Get to your concert early so you can enjoy the interior design. Parking is to the south, across Parsons St. My map app has the theater in the wrong place, so search for both the Max M. Fisher Music Center and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. That'll get you there and it'll be obvious where the theater is. There are snacks and drinks for purchase in the lobby. We had lunch before heading to the theater, but there are places to get a meal nearby and I wish we had done that, just to see some of the redevelopment in the area. We had a large group in the cheap seats in the upper balcony, and we were able to see and hear everything just fine.

The acoustics are really superb. I've been going to concerts for over 60 years. Few halls are as good as the Fisher, and none are better.

This venue was formerly known as "Orchestra Hall" prior to the recent renovations. The actual hall is still the same beauty it was---a perfect home for the Detroit symphony. Treat yourself to a visit here.

One of the most beautiful venues in the country. It helps too that the acoustics from any seat are perfect.

It really doesn't matter what performance is here it is a great atmosphere to take in any type of performance.

The coffee series at the DSO is GREAT. Prices are reasonable. The coffee and donuts are free, and the music is the BEST.Still tickets available for March, April, and May. Check it out.

What can one say? The venue is gorgeous and more important the acoustics are perfection. On top of that you get to hear a world class orchestra. The Max and Orchestra Hall are the best, as is the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Thank goodness the labor/management troubles are in the past and the orchestra is back where it belongs. It is a blessing to the city of Detroit to have the venue and the orchestra.

A historic landmark nicely redone and with great acoustics. A wonderful place for live performances of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra or anyone else for that matter. I love that I can drive down there and get tickets without all the tickermaster fees as well. I've never attended a bad performance or had anything less than a steller visit here. Highly recommend this location for music lovers.

Listened to our daughter play flute in symphony on this stage twice and just thrilled with the acoustics and beauty of the hall. It is a special place. If you get the opportunity to see a show here most definitely do it.

This music hall has among the best acoustics in the country. When the Detroit Symphony was located elsewhere for many years, the orchestra still recorded in this venue. It is relatively small. It is hard to have a bad seat, and the music quality is extraordinary.

We have always enjoyed taking in a performance at this venue. Depending on the show the adults and kids have lots of fun.

The MMF Music Center is home to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the main auditorium, Orchestra Hall. For those who treasure all genres of music in live performance, this is THE place in Detroit to enjoy it. The acoustics in OH are so pristine that even in the upper balcony, one doesn't have to strain to hear a note. The ambiance is one of pure class, but not stodgy or rigidly formal in the least bit. Music lovers from out of town take heed: do not miss this opportunity! (Summer months, however, it is dark.)

We are season subscribers to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra performances. You will be amazed by the acoustics. The theatre is amazing.

The sound quality here is lovely and it's a beautiful venue. We have tickets to several DSO events this year.

Who would have thought that I would ever attend an opera. Not me. Nonetheless, it was swell, and I think that no matter how much money he made, Max Fisher never spent any of it any better than he did when he contributed to this fine theatre.
