Ran into Piers Gorge by accident as we had never heard of it. The trails were decent and relatively easy to walk, and view along the river of the rapids was very nice. There weren't any kayakers at the time, would have been nice to see someone going thru the rapids.

Well worn, easy trail to 4 vistas of rapids along the Menominee River. It is a dirt trail - not "accessible" - but fairly level. The river views are lovely. Glad that we made the effort to drive to Norway to walk this trail. This trail is now part of the state park system, so a MI recreation passport or daily use fee applies.

Great easy trail to the rapids. Not many place in upper midwest to see a river like that. Only thing I didn't like is that they now charge $9 State Park fee to get in. It used to be free. It's still worth seeing though!

We loved our hike overlooking piers gorge. We saw many others rafting down the gorge. Beautiful piers and a beautiful day. Bugs were a little pesty in the spring.

Piers Gorge is a beautiful area; our family enjoyed the hike and loved watching the rafters run the gorge after we had rafted it the day before. The hike to the gorge was only a short walk from the state park and worth the time!

We have hiked the 2.5 mile round trip trail at Piers Gorge in the summer and in the fall. Even though the trail is not that long, the hike can take a few hours as you find yourself standing or sitting and taking in the roaring, rushing water of the Menomonie River. It is a beautiful area. The trail is uneven and could be difficult for some and is not stroller friendly. In the summer it is fun to watch the many rafters and kayakers brave the rapids. The park entrance fee is $8.40 for out of state vehicles. Well worth the time, effort, and money to take the hike.

A very easy and family friendly stop - very nice easy to walk trails with amazing scenic views of the Menomonie River. In this area there are multiple rafting companies. We were very glad we stopped!
