If you are looking for a pleasurable golf experience while in the western half of Michigan a stop at Pilgrim's Run Golf Club in Pierson MI is a stop worthwhile. Pilgrims Run is well maintained, its fairways winds throughout a forest of trees , has a nice layout, is challenging and yet fair for all to play. Each year our golfing group makes it a stop on our league's traveling golf days.

Tucked away and off the beaten path is a little piece of heaven called Pilgrim's Run Golf Course. We've played here several times and have found course conditions always impeccable. The staff--from the head professional right down the kids that help unload your club--are friendly and helpful. PRGC offers a number of special rates available throughout the week and the season. In addition, this course offers several teeing areas--so it's female friendly, it's senior citizen friendly, it's "I hit from the back tees only" friendly. Something for everyone and always a challenge. We've played all over the United States and Ireland and Pilgrim's Run is in our "top ten" list of places to chase that little white ball. One of the reviewers mentioned that it's hard to find. NOT. It's just a few miles off the expressway and it is in the "middle of nowhere" but EASY to find (follow the directions on their website or use your GPS)--no large cities, no city noise, no planes/trains/automobiles zooming around or over the course--like I said earlier, a little piece of heaven.

Found Pilgrim's Run when searching the web from Denver, CO. Found it again when I got off the beaten path. Note: off the beaten path is where most of the best courses reside. Pilgrim's Run is no exception. Very well designed. Loved the big, sweeping views of each hole from the tee boxes. Great use of landscape. Every hole had its own personality, risk/reward and challenges to the game. Michiganders are probably accustomed to the amount of trees on the course. The forest-like feel was a welcome feature to this Colorado traveler. Every hole provided a sense of privacy. The green fees are proportionate to the quality. I felt like I got what I paid for. Add this one to your bucket list of Michigan courses.

This is one of the top courses in MI! Great layout, "red" tee friendly, super employees PLUS it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We played at noon on a Sat and only paid $39 senior rate. Brats and dogs also good on the turn. We (husband and I) hope to play it again sometime.

Our foursome was rained out for a weekend morning tee time at Arcadia Bluffs, so after checking out the trusty Doppler Radar, we decided to drive south to try and escape the wet weather. I had never played their before but I had always heard some really good things about Pilgrim's Run, so we headed to Pierson to play some golf. When we arrived, my first impression was "WOW". The course looked great and the clubhouse was very nice. We spent some time at their awesome practice facility before heading out to the course. Every hole was secluded and beautiful and well thought out. The conditions were outstanding for this early in the season, and the staff was very accommodating. Everybody in our group, including a couple from out of state, had nothing but positive things to say about their experience. Our female guest also appreciated the very nice and clean comfort stations on the course...nice touch. We played 18 holes for $39, and I have to admit that I have never played a course of this quality for that cheap of a price....outstanding value!! This is a wonderful, beautiful, challenging golf course, and I anxiously await the pleasure of playing it again!!

The grounds were kept up and the staff was real friendly. This was our first upscale golf course. It was evening when we went and the views are worth the price, along with the challenging course.

Played this course for the first time in August 2012 on a beautiful, sunny Sunday. The wooded, hilly location was tucked away just north of Grand Rapids, MI by about 20 miles off US 131 to the west. Once on the cart, I found myself at every hole remarking "What a gorgeous hole!", as the layout and scenery was masterfully displayed. I enjoyed the golf, but also the joy of anticipation of what the next hole's view would bring, and Pilgrim's Run did not disappoint. It seemed like the next hole outdid the previous one. At the end of our round, the starter told us about couple's specials on weeknights. I always appreciate a club or company that goes out of their way to cater to their customers. This will be a regular stop for this golfer!

The trees, elevations, sand, and water all make this a very challenging course, especially for those who don't stay in the fairway. The roughs are ROUGH! It is very hard to get out of the Michigan grass, even with your highest loft iron. The extra interest in this course follow the trials of Pilgrim's Progress-the famous novel that tracks a Christian's journey. They are aptly named for the challenges they offer-Slough of Despond, Error Hill, Valley of Humility. And sand, sand, why did I need a beach day? Enjoy those of you lucky enough to play this course often.

This is a fantastic golf course. I am from states away. My girlfriends father knew about the place and recommended it. Well, he was right. The staff is very proffesional. The course is kept in near tour quality. It was a pleasure playing every shot down. We played after 3 pm so it was only 39 bucks. But the place is a steal even at full weekend rate of 65. They have a couples rate afgter 6pm. 2 play for 25 bucks, WOW! Anyway, the course is a little out in the middle of nowhere but well worth the drive. It is about 30 miles north of Grand Rapids MI. I couldnt say enough nice things about this course. Cheers and good luck!

Played on the 24th September 2012 for the 1st time. Stunning layout and very good course conditioning. Love the risk/ reward of the 18th hole. Will be back.
