I don't know why they thought getting rid of that awesome wooden play structure were the kids were contained was a good idea. So they took the pretreated wood from the park and put them somewhere else, still on the planet doing harm. We didn't eat off of them, anyway. But the new play structure is metal so much less forgiving, more open spaces to fall off and less opportunity to use your imagination. My kids did like it, being new, but preferred the few old pieces left across the field.

I've played at this park most of my life, brings back great memories. Huge pavilion with tables and it's located well. Bathrooms are ok, play equipment has always been good. So much room! For just a small picnic, grab one of the mini cabin type structures located near a grill.

Right now there is some major construction going on a Patriarche Park, once this is complete it will be a wonderful place to bring your family. Building a new play area, wish I were a kid again.

Patriarche Park in East Lansing is a very nice park. Entrance is on Alton Street across from St. Thomas church. The park has play areas, a baseball field, tennis courts, pavilions, and several rest rooms. A nice place to go, walk and take kids.
