The only reason I gave this theater a bad rating is because of the owner. The theater itself is awesome. One show a week and cheep tickets and concession, but the owner on the other hand is extremely rude to customers and to his employees. Don't go in and ask for someone who works there otherwise you will be called stupid and a idiot. I'm sorry but to Le that's not how you get your customers to keep coming in. I refuse to go in anywhere after being treated poorly and humiliated in front of others. Just asking for an employee I'm apparently an idiot for asking. I personally would never come back to this theater even if it is cheap and has an old time look.

We love the historic feeling of this older movie theatre. They still have the original seats (they may have re-done some of the leather) but everything else is in it's original state. The movies are recent, the popcorn very good, we love the fact that we see a lot of our friends here, the owners have been here for a million years. We hope they are able to keep it open forever.....

What a great little theater. Prices are low and the concessions are even lower! This little theater is like stepping back in time. What a wonderful experience.

Cheap tickets for first run movies! this is an old style movie house small wooden seats but digital projectors. at 4bucks you can't go wrong!

Could not believe my eyes when I saw the illuminated marquee. Just like a flash back to the fifties. Only $5 for a movie and right across from the Doherty Hotel.

Old time movie house with a cheap price first run movies. Only criticism was the seats were from the thirties and mildly uncomfortable but for four bucks who can complain.

really neat small town theatre. Old fashioned seating inexpensive tickets 3 bucks for my child and warm welcoming feeling.

This is a very old theatre like my grandparent might have experienced. They have first run movies at rock bottom prices.We three watched for just 13-14 bucks total. The seat are hard wood and small apparently Americans are getting bigger. This was a very good value but I like the sopund systems in the new theaters and the comfortable reclining seats now available. It is a unique small town experience.

The Ideal Theatre is a Art Deco Theater that has a long history in Clare. If you were to take a family of 4 to this theater for a movie, with drinks and popcorn, expect to pay around $25. Compare that to the other theaters in neighboring towns and you're looking at over $60. The seats are a little smaller than in other theaters, but the sound is great, the movies are clear - they don't have the 3-D available, but if you're looking for an inexpensive family outing, this is the place to go!

Hard seats from the 50's bring back memory of being a kid. the admission was the same as the seventies and the movies were first run first weekend! Ultimate family event.

first run movies and a quaint old time atmosphere. It did cost even a third what it should have and we saw a movie on its opening night!

It only cost four bucks to see Avengers on its first day out! Seat are small and hard but theater is vintage and this is to be expected. Over all fantastic value.

This is a dinky theater, but the movies are inexpensive and up-to-date. Hometown feel.
