We tried 2 flights of Journeyman liqueurs and spirits and found something different that we really liked. The bilberry gin is a wonderful discovery. It has a great herbal flavor and golden color and will compliment many drinks. This could be called a restaurant since appetizers and sandwiches are available and necessary. But the real reason to stop is to sample the artisan spirits. The interior has a modern-rustic design with wood beams and paneling. We sat at the bar but the place could seat large groups easily.

$10 for a tour is a great price and you get a nice tour of the distillery. Plus, a wonderful sampling of whiskeys, vodkas, and gins. About 15 of them. Great time. Then we took a seat in the restaurant and had some great foods to eat.

We love to stop here before and after our evenings at the Acorn Theater next door! The drinks are great and the atmosphere is comfortable! Great little town where you can spend a nice Saturday or Sunday!

We were wandering the area and saw a sign for the distillary. Great setting in the old building that is perfect for a cocktail! The bartender was very knowledgable and enjoyed answering our questions. The drinks were excellent and quick food we ordered was perfect. Fun place to talk with local and people passing through.

We had an opportunity to visit Journeyman while on vacation. It was a really laid back and relaxing space. More importantly, the whiskey was excellent! They distill a variety of whiskeys and tried the tasting before selecting more. They also have a good selection of craft drinks for non-whiskey drinkers. The menu was what we expected , not to big or small but also tasty. We really enjoyed our afternoon.

Good food, and great spirits. Try the flights and determine what you like. The unaged 'white' whiskeys are an experience to themselves ! Their rum is my favorite. And the fried egg sandwich !!

Journeyman Distillery is the kind of place where you walk out and say, "I can't wait to introduce my friends to this."I showed up on a Sunday afternoon to sample some drinks with my girl. Contrary to some other Yelpers, I thought the bartenders were super chill and relaxed. Not an ounce of pretension. The prices seemed fair, too. I started with the whiskey flight, which was only $4. It was fun to compare each variety. The flight comes with a laminated sheet, explaining how each whiskey was made and the kinds of things to notice. (Silver Cross was my favorite of the five.)My lady said she really enjoyed her espresso martini. I finished my visit with a frozen Moscow mule. Pretty much the perfect summer drink. While we were there, a cool live band called Pushing Chain entertained us with some really solid tunes.I found the place more cavernous than many Yelp photos suggested. There is a smaller-seeming front bar area, but that connects to a very big main room. We didn't take a tour, but it's nice that such things are offered. So many of the drinks looked amazing. I'm looking forward to going back and checking some off my list.

Found out about this local distillery from the visitor center at New Buffalo, MI. They do offer tours but need to sign up ahead - at least on weekends (cost $10). They do offer 2 different flights or samplers: white flight for $3 offering rum, gin and white whiskey; whiskey flight for $4. They have 2 bars - one is cash only. We tried both the flights and it was good. They also have good menu but we didn't have time to stay for any meals. Seems like a fun place to go with live band sometimes. Would recommend to visit if you are in the area.

Showed up here for a wedding and completely loved this place. There was a lot of nice details everywhere and the drinks were amazing. I think the food was catered by an outside company - but great service throughout the entire evening - check it out!!!

This building was quite interesting and seeing the distillery was quite fun. We ended up having lunch there also and the pulled pork was very good!

Great products, my wife loves their gin. Beautiful location inside a historic building, they offer tours and tastings. The ladies behind the bar were very helpful.

This was a nice place to visit. We took the tour ( which I reserved in advance on their website ) and the owner's mother was our guide. The distillery area is actually quite small, I was surprised but they are in the process of finding a larger place. They are going to keep this location too and the new place will be strickly for making whiskey ( no tours, bars, or food ) . We did the tour/tasting only and did not purchase any drinks or food as our schedule was pretty tight. I am glad we visited. I really did not know how much time and energy it takes to make high quality spirits and I have to give credit to the owners for their dedication to their craft.

We did the tour on a Saturday. The tour was a fun combination of history and distillery information. The building is an old corset factory and is very cool. The gin they make is now one my favorites and the bourbon (bourbon does not have to be made in Kentucky it turns out) is very tasty.I loved the atmosphere and the food. You have to go up to the bar to place your order, which worked fine for us. However they may want to add some help during busy times.
