We were visiting from out of town and looking for a dinner spot when I stumbled across Jr's listing .. We got LUCKY and got tickets to Steve-O's sold out show!We had great (reasonable prices) seats, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was great ! ( artichoke dip w pitas, flat bread pizza, and Turkey club sandwich on pretzel bread). If I lived in Erie, I'd surely make this a regular "spot" !!

This has been been a staple in our community since I was a young adult. It apparently is under new ownership now. I can say I LOVE how people who are seated in the back are no longer just sitting on a barstool at a slab of table pressed against the wall, they have them comfortably facing the artists performing. Kudos for that. Then theres the changes that might take a while to get used to, the menu had classics on it like regular chicken salad, and sampler platters that just had onion rings, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders and fried (mushrooms, and sometimes asparagus). Now its fried pickle wedges and a few other non-truadional thing, and might I mention the operations, way smaller. The glow tables are still there, and the Tv's are in place with some funny video's to fill the void of emptiness before the act. They have drinks, and they are a little pricier, but it's a comedy club not really a bar so to speak. They didn't have the usual give aways at the end of the evening where one lucky contestant got to put their name in a bucket and come back with 3 friends for free. Nope they had a paid raffle instead. We placed our order pretty early on and our waitress came out within moments with our appetizer, which was nice. But after an hour rolled by and everyone else (who ordered after us) had their food, I politely inquired as to how long it might be before our order should arrive. I was content with my appetizer so really I was being patient and inquisitive. The waitress (and I use that closely) snapped at me and said " You'll get it when it's ready, you see this room full of people? Yeah, you weren't the only one who placed an order." First off rude, my jaw dropped and so did the jaws of my friends with me. I wasn't rude, it was a simple question. I chose not to respond to her snarkiness, and I refused to order anything else the rest of the evening, including beverages. Also I should note we were the first show of the night, 6:30 thursday night. WQLN table. The reason I mention the WQLN table is because I donated face value of the cost of the tickets to WQLN during an auction. Normally you make a reservation and you get a table with your name on it. The new owners packed as many chairs as they could, packing this long row of 6 tables with enough chairs to seat double normal the occupancy. Seating was first come first serve, not what we expected, maybe thats why we had crap service? They shouldn't donate these tickets if this is how they are going to treat the winners. I still paid what it would have cost to attend if I hadn't "won" them. The artists bring me back, they are usually amazing, but I won't plan to eat there ever again. Needless to say her tip reflected her service.

My female companion and I came to see two Cleveland comics preform their stints. We were well entertained, the service was good, drinks were modest for the venue and we were well entertained. There is a restaurant menu available for those who choose to make this a one stop night out. The tickets were also reasonable, varying upon venue. In the event you're in need for a "pick-me-up" moment, give JR's a try.

Went with friends to see Mark Curry ("Hangin' with Mr. Cooper") and we had a ball!! He was funny without being vulgar. The venue was really nice, in an older building in the downtown area. We did not eat there but the menu looked appealing and the prices were decent. We did have drinks, and they were priced well, too. We paid $20 for the evening, but only because the comedian is considered a headliner. Normally the fee would be $12.50. Not bad for an evening of laughs.

Came to Erie from Buffalo to catch the Rocky Laporte show. Great fun and laughs! (Excellent food, too.) Got to meet Rocky afterwards-- forgot to get a photo or autograph but will remember the great time we had anyways. Will definitely be back!

Being a senior I need entertainment where I can be home by 9pm. We really enjoy good clean comedy and we found it here. Mary our server was outstanding! She welcomed us and served us with a smile. The food came out quickly and hot. The opening act was funny but Mike the featured act kept us laughing. Mary even shared the apricot drink recipe with us before we left. We will come back next time we are in Erie!

This place rocked! i love the owners & the employees. Yes the owner was one of the guys behind the bar. The comedic act of Doug Stanhope for my birthday was perfect! I went there from WNY (western new york) with my son. Only an hour from home but we still got a room down the street at the Avalon Hotel. Funny that DS mentioned it in his act.

Went to Jr's for my 10 year class reunion. I had never been before but had a great time. The food was decent for a comedy club, drink pricers were average and the comedy was great! If your looking for a fun night for a large group of people then I would highly recomend Jr's! I know when I am back in town it will be a great place to meet up with old friends.

We've been at Juniors several times. Is a great place to relax and laugh the night away. I agree the service for food/ drinks could be a little better. I like that the owner shakes hands on the way out each and every time!

I LOVED THE SHOW but service to me was slightly lacking with the waitress. took 15 min to come back to take the order and the show was almost over when they finally brought our food which was Pretzels and boneless BBQ wings, good but we had to rush to eat and no napkins or silverware... (messy wings and no napkins lol...) So had to wait for eating till we could flag them down lol. The Drinks we got did not seem to have any alcohol and were not cheap. I only had 1 but I swear it was a mock cocktail, mom had 3 and only 1 tasted ok... But again Loved the show would go back just not bother with food or drink. 20 dollar Tickets each "Special Event!!!" hard to find even ok parking. Parking lot full of water of the road opposite the building and otherwise street parking.

We've been enjoying the great shows and the food at Jr's for years -- since they started. They feature comedians who might have appeared on the late night shows or HBO, and they are always first rate funny. Most recently, we laughed our socks off seeing Greg Hahn. The owner is a personable guy who likes to meet the customers and interact with them. You can come early and have dinner, or order bar food, all reasonably priced. Very efficient wait-staff, too. Tickets for the shows run between $13 and $15, or for the special events, between $18 and $20. Reservations are not usually required, but not a bad idea. On Wednesdays, they feature Dueling Pianos - no tickets required.

Every show I've seen at Jr's Last Laugh have made me laugh so hard my sides hurt! The owners always make sure to get the best comedians! I highly recommend anyone looking for a great night out to go to Jr's!

My girlfriend and I went to JR's last month when looking for a comedy club to attend. I always read reviews before attending places and this place lived up to my expectations. The owner was so incredibly nice and it's very refreshing to see the man behind the company actually interacting with customers and being involved with them! As a business owner, I definitely appreciate this and it's so hard to find. The club is very appealing and up-to-date with decor. Comedians were funny.

As a native New Yorker, I've had the opportunity to enjoy some of the greatest comics do their acts, but the folks at Jr's Last Laugh take a back seat to nobody. They bring in the newcomers and the famous (Lewis Black, Kevin Meany, many others) and everyone seems to have a lot of fun. Though I don't share the enthusiasm others have expressed for the food (and they really might think about bringing in a wider selection of draft beers), it is a very comfortable environment to relax with friends and enjoy some good laughs. The headliners hang out at the bar after their set, and you can get an autograpgh before heading home - probably laughing again at some of the funnier moments of the evening. Jr's is an Erie treasure.
