And don't forget picnic pavillions! This place is the same as Lake Redman and Lake Williams. Williams is farther from Interstate 83 and quieter!

My husband and I enjoy this park to take our kayaks out. Lots of Egrets, haven't caught any fish there yet, but only been a couple times. Short pretty hiking trails, too. Good for a half day trip.

County park charges reasonable price for rentals-$13.95 per hour. Staff helps you into boats. Staff is supposed to meet you when you return to help you out, but I had to do it myself and pull kayak out of water. Traffic from Rt 83 is extremely loud and disconcerting. Staff there are teenagers who aren't particularly friendly or caring. Much better if you have your own boat and take it to Lake Williams nearby (free and no license required).

My go to place to trail run, walk my dog or take a quiet hike through the woods with my kids. If you're looking for those things, check out this park!
