Revolutionary War landmark. A special occasion, great time. A seldom experienced event. Many extremely dedicated folks were in attendance. People who had not experienced the significance of the historical site enjoyed the event.

My friend who lives nearby took me to this park for a walk. It's a well-maintained historical park. My friend said re-enactments of the battle are held here.

My wife and I walk our dogs here often. There is a walking trail around the entire location and it is kept clean and well maintained. The surrounding countryside is beautiful especially in the fall. The cannon here are not of the Revolutionary War period, but they add to the park. Not a destination, but if you are close by check it out.

This is a simple park with a walking trail around the 40+ acres. It is the hollowed ground of the Battle of Brandywine. The only battle for our independence that included all the major players, Washington, Lafayette, Howe, etc. Though the American troops lost the battle - it is seen as a major turning point when the British troops begin to take the war seriously. Check out other local sights close by, Birmingham Hill, Birmingham Friends Meeting House, which became the hospital after the battle, and they have a peace garden worth visiting - site of mass grave for both sides.Also check out the Brandywine Battlefield State Park a few miles away.
