On a family genealogical trip, we spent 3 days in Warren using the services of the Historical Society, the County Courthouse, the Library, and the Oakland Cemetery. We were surprised at the friendly reception everywhere we went in this charming little town with its Victorian downtown and beautiful surroundings. Especially wonderful were the genealogical librarian, the folks in the Assessment office and the administrator at the cemetery as we searched for family histories, property ownership and graves. Because of their help, we found more than we hoped for.

We REALLY want to go here and get some information on all the beautiful homes in Warren, but they were CLOSED on Saturday. So surprised because you would think most visitors are here on the weekends.

On a recent trip with family & friends for some easy hiking and site-seeing, our first stop in the morning was the Warren Historic District. There are many beautiful houses and buildings showing the great architecture used in the past. It was a very nice drive and short walk around the area. I am sure there is more we could have seen, but this was just a quick stop on the way to the Kinzua Bridge. The next time we are in Warren, we'll be sure to spend more time here!
