A timeless place to see a concert ! I've seen at least 100 great acts herein my lifetime ! The acoustics are phenomenal

Recently saw Billy Idol perform here. It's a great venue for a concert. The acoustics are great, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Pros: the location is great. Just take the Frankford subway line to 69th street. It's a short walk to the theater. Security! They did an amazing job of keeping all the back row people from creeping up. There is nothing more annoying than being crowded in the seat you paid for by people that shove forward. They kept everyone in their correct seat location. So appreciative of that. Cons: the seats look terribly uncomfortable. We never sat down, but they made economy seats on a commercial flight look roomy. Absolutely no leg room at all. I will definitely return to see another concert. Great place!

Saw Billy Idol here and it was great. Small theater so all the seat were good. We were seat in the Loge section. Good view great sound. Difficult to find parking though. Get a beer at the Waterford Inn before you go to the show, much cheaper option and the bar is right next door.

Ahhh get there early because it's straight up grid lock. Saw John Oliver here (he is amazing!) the traffic and the parking is a nightmare though!

Husband and I went to a concert here, Govt. Mule. Excellent show, don't be fooled or talked into the "seat upgrade" - ahhh please - we checked it out. The theatre is not that large, you will enjoy the show from anywhere in the venue. Everyone stands anyway. There are bars EVERYWHERE if you choose to buy over priced drinks. My husband said there was a bar in the mens room - what!?! We liked the venue, parking was easy and cheap, no problem there - you can tail gait in the parking garage if you wish, there were several parties going on in the garage. Fun stuff!!

Saw Coheed and Cambria here in October, decent venue- liked that there were areas to sit around the pit area- also was very impressed with the water cooler provided in the pit. The restroom situation- at least in the women's room- left a lot to be desired- it was dirty and some of the stalls were oddly oriented and it was down in a dark cave of sorts. Also, there was some difficulty for people during the opening bands sets- if they left the pit to use the restroom or get a beverage they were not allowed back on the floor until after the opening band finished. I found that to be pretty bizarre.

Liked everything because I was seeing Trey Band, duh! ;) Bar service was quick given how crowded the show was and there was plenty of space to groove in the general admission area. Friendly staff, too.

I was at the Tower theatre on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The Russian Ballet was presenting the Nutcracker. It does beg the question, why here? Rundown theatre, rude attendants, no programs, no orchestra. Serving alcohol? Crazy. Parking, not easy. There is a lot behind the venue. I will never go back. There was nothing inviting about this place.

Just returned to Florida after seeing Yusuf/Cat Stevens at the Tower in Upper Darby. While waiting in the lobby before the inner doors to the theatre opened, I decided to visit the ladies room. It is located on a lower floor with two flights of steps to walk down. First off, the place is dimly lit and on my way down the second stairwell, I found that I needed to grab the bannister to steady myself only to find that it was loose, as if coming out of the wall. If I had not been able to regain my balance, I likely would have tumbled down the stairs.I am curious as to what safety codes this venue may be in violation of and I will be reaching out to TV Channel 3 to see if they are interested in further investigation.

Just returned to FL after seeing Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam at The Tower Theater. While waiting in the lobby for theater doors to open, I decided to go to the ladies room, which is on a lower level. There are two flights of stairs that you must walk down to get to the Ladies Room. First off, the entire place is dimly lit and on my way down the steps to the bathroom, I grabbed the bannister (inside the second stairwell) for balance and nearly fell due to the fact that it was loose, as if coming out of the wall. If I had not been able to regain my balance, I likely would have tumbled down the stairs. I am curious as to what safety code standards may not being met at this venue and intend to report my experience to News Channel 6 in Philadelphia.

The changed the Tower Theater to be general admission - which is nice, but once you walk out of the theater to use the restroom they don't want you to go back in on the first floor. I was told to go upstairs when my boyfriend was downstairs watching the show. They eventually let me back in but it was only because I didn't back down about getting back to the spot I had spent half of the show in. The next time I had to go I made it a point to tell the person at the door that I was only using the restroom and would be right back.

Any visit to upper Darby must include a concert at the tower theater, they feature concerts for every age a and all types of music, a visit to 69 the street shopping before of after is a good idea, bargains are plenty and a wide range of clothing and shoes at most places are very good prices for the pocket book

We went to see Bill O'Reilly. We would not return to the theatre for several reasons, utmost of which is that this art deco theatre is a fire trap. There is no way that the hoards of people could exit quickly in an emergency. The seats are strange. They do not appear to be mounted to the floor. They have an odd angle that make them uncomfortable. The acoustics are poor, although the view of the stage is excellent.Parking is a nightmare at 69th Street. While the Septa Transportation Center is nearby, we would consider it too dangerous to use at night. Exiting from the theatre and the 69th Street traffic are awful. In summation, never again.

We came here to see a show over the weekend, and our first experience was with the awful traffic and bad parking options in the area - which may not be the venue's fault - but they should participate more in helping patrons find it. After parking, we found the place had a great atmosphere and ambiance, and a classic feel to it, and great acoustics. However, I must say that it was stifling in the main theater, there did not appear to be any fans, so I would advise dressing cool, possibly even in colder weather, as it was very uncomfortable there. Beyond that, a great venue overall.

Recently visited The Tower Theater, the end of September to see Twenty One Pilots. The concert was terrific, the theater itself was fine. I had not been to see a show at this theater for a long long time so I wasn't sure what to expect. There are parking garages a block or two away in back of the theater which only charge 10 to park your car, but take my advice, park at the exit of the garage so you can be first out, or be prepared to sit in the garage for an hour of chaos while everyone tries to exit at once through one exit. The crowd was of all ages, no issues with that. The town of Upper Darby??, hmmm, you would think they would at least pick up the trash, the cans that lined the streets as you walk to the theater were six feet high in trash! All in all, I would go back, the sound of the show was great as was the ticket price.
