Surfsup is one of a kind and definitely something you have to do wether you are in the area visiting or actually live there. The places that they take you are beautiful and its such a fun time and an unforgettable experience and adventure! You get to see the beautiful scenery in western pennsylvania and standup paddleboarding is such a fun way to do so! On top of it all, Ian smith the Owner and tour guide is the nicest coolest guy ever and has a wealth of knowldedge in SUPing. I couldnt recommend anyone better to go on a SUP trip with.

I took one of Ian's SUP tours on Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park as a part of a SUP Yoga Package. He was fun, helpful and made the experience very enjoyable! I highly recommend and hope to return for another adventure!

I tried the SUP Surfing class because I was a flat water paddle addict looking to take it to the next level, and this definitely did not dissapoint. I have been searching for a class like this for awhile, and finally came across Ian's website which has a bit of everything SUP related. I highly recommend the SUP Surf class at Greenhouse Park, I have been paddleboarding all across the US and have never had anything like that wave before. I had to drive 4.5 hours to make it out to the class but it was definitely worth it. Greenhouse park was beautiful, and I had a fantastic afternoon. Ian is great at explaining the technique, so both beginners and expereinced SUP-ers can learn something and have a great time. I definitely would like to try river surfing again, and I have my eye on the SUP yoga as well.

Attended the surf class with Ian and all I can say it was the most fun I have had on the water. I have SUPed for a couple of years now on flatwater and really enjoyed it. But after taking the surf class, I am hooked on river surfing. I drove over three hours to take the course and I would do it again. I was not disappointed and I am still talking about it a few days after the class. I can't believe what an awesome experience it was. Highly recommended! Ian is a true professional and you could tell that he is passionate about river surfing and enjoys passing his stoke on to others. If you want to talk gear, Ian knows his stuff. It was great to get his opinion on boards, paddles, etc. I would have no problems buying a board from Ian and know that he is not selling me any old board. He is selling me the right board. From experienced paddlers to complete novices, we all had fun and Ian had all of us on the wave! What am amazing day!

Ian is awesome guide. He makes everyone from the novices to people who have done paddleboarding before feel included. You can go at your own level. It was a great experience. Very relaxing on the paddle board.

I was in the area of Lake Arthur (Moraine State Park) visiting family and looking for something new to try. Myself (50+) and my two teen boys tried paddleboarding and LOVED it. As everyone says, Ian (our guide), is the nicest. He made the experience really fun. He had my boys all hyped up and they were trying to keep up with him and catch him. Ian taught us some fun things at the end of the outing such as running starts and back-of-board pivots. We had relay races with the three of us, Ian, and a father and son who were also in our outing. My boys had so much fun. My youngest says he wants to join a paddleboard team and spend the whole summer competing.

Our group of ladies had the best day when we learned how to stand-up paddle board under Ian's instruction. None of us had ever done it before, and Ian gave us tips and instruction to make the sport feel easy, and he knew the lake (Lake Arthur @ Moraine State Park) like the back of his hand. He was extremely personable and even took photos for us like a professional photographer. Everyone in our group said they'd do it again - which says a lot! Plus, we came home and were able to download great snapshots of the excursion. It's also a really great family activity for parents and even young children. Really folks, you can't go wrong with this guide - you're destined to have fun and enjoy the day. Try it!!!

I first experienced SurfSUP on a guided tour at Moraine State Park with a few friends. The tour guide and company owner Ian was terrific! We had a wonderful time out on the water and his guidance on getting up on the board and paddling were great. That trip motivated me to take up stand-up paddleboarding as a hobby, and since then I have purchased two boards through Ian and SurfSUP. Ian has really gone the extra mile in helping me make informed decisions. He has answered dozens of emails with thoughtful answers to my questions. He even agreed to meet up with me one-on-one to try out a few different boards. You will be hard-pressed to find a better instructor or nicer guy than Ian. I highly recommend that anyone who is interested in having a great time out on the water give SurfSUP a try.

My boyfriend and I just took the SUP yoga workshop with Ian (surfSUP owner) and Ryan (yoga instructor) at Lake Arthur and we had a great day! We had done yoga before but never SUP, but it was easy to learn and after a few minutes we were able to paddle along just fine. Ian was a great guide, he pointed out cool nature sights, gave really good tips for beginners and was such a friendly person it would be impossible to not have a great time! Ryan, was an experienced yoga instructor and offered a variety of poses at different levels. Yoga on a SUP board was a bit harder than I thought it would be, but the added balance challenge was fun and since it was about 90 degrees I didn't mind falling in the water a few times during the harder poses! As I was booking I thought the price ($50 each) was a little high, but I figured I would splurge for a day. After taking the workshop I would say the price was totally worth the experience. Ian provided everything, had the boards set up and at the water when we arrived and packed everything up for us at the end. He even provided water (something I didn't think to bring...) for us which was very nice because we were out for about 2.5 hours. All in all a great day! Thanks Ian!
