Love this place and all it has to offer, from the Ren Fair to the Dickens Christmas its the place to go for a truly holiday experience. If you stay at one of the local hotels there are plenty of other attractions to fill your weekend and plenty of places for a great meal.

Took the boys for a Dickens-themed show at Mt. Hope. Each year after the Ren Faire, Mt. Hope puts on the Poe Evermore and Dickens Christmas themed events. We all had fun. The cast was very friendly and the skits performed were great, especially Christmas Carol. I would recommend checking this out!

I absolutely love this place. My family and I have been going here for many many years. They have so many various programs throughout the year, you can never tire of it. The actors are wonderful. We have attending many of the Dickens Christmas events, as well as the Poe program in the fall. Also offered are the PA Renaissance Faire and a Celtic event in March. We have gone as a couple, and have taken family as well. Children can be easily entertained here. There is alot of interaction between the staff and the guests. For the Dickens program, there is a bar open in the mansion, where you can purchase wine or drinks and hot chocolate for the kids. We have made so many memories here. The decorations are fabulous and the whole day is alot of fun.

We had a awesome day at the PA Renaissance Faire. There were many great, funny, and/or interesting shows. There was plenty to do here and we stayed from open to close. The food was a little expensive, but delicious, and there were plenty of choices. This is on our list to do next year too. After trying some of the wines at the faire, we went back to the winery to purchase some Christmas gifts. Excellent, large variety of wines. The person who was giving us our tastings was knowledgeable and made us a few yummy concoctions to try.

Visited several times, enjoyed it each time. They do a good job with the reenactments and entertainment. I continue to be surprised by how many visitors come in custom and see she the additional fun it adds. Food and beverage is good. Having a winery there is a plus for adults, decent local wines. good attractions for kids of almost all ages. I do like that the staff gets the visitors involved, was a new but fun experience. A lot of vendors which is good if you are into the garb and accessories. Look on the web site for special events

Used to love this place. However, it's lost it's "Ren Faire" appeal. It's so commercial, with endless overpriced vendors. Most of the fun was watching the people that weren't paid to be there come in costume with their life sized personalities....just doesn't seem to be happening anymore. It's more of a beer garden now, which isn't a big deal (as I like beer), just not something I'm interested in paying $$$, just to come in an pay more....

My girlfriend enjoyed the free wine sampling while I shopped for the hugely discounted case of wine, 30% off. We strolled through the vendor tent with some terrific crafts. My only disappointment was that I forgot to buy the discounted tickets for the upcoming events. Luckily they offered the discount on their website.

Andrew, Glenn, and Michael (I think was the names of the guys that day) were a fun, knowledgeable trio that made our visit the best we've ever had. I really enjoyed all of the wines and picture myself going back very soon!

Went to the Mansion at the Mount Hope Winery, home to PA Renaissance Faire, to see Poe Evermore. This is a live theater event in the mansion including dramatic readings of Edgar Allen Poe. Prior to the show, we had an excellent lunch at the Anchor and Mermaid Tavern on the grounds of Mount Hope Winery. Both the lunch and the show were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed bantering with the actors while enjoying our lunch and the Sangria wine punch is a definite must have. The atmosphere is always wonderful, the servers at the tavern are the best and the actors present the tails of Edgar Allen Poe beautifully. This is great day out with family and friends. Don't miss it!

We are extremely sorry for your experience during your visit on Saturday. We were admittedly understaffed last weekend, causing us to be overwhelmed with multiple tour groups that were visiting at the same time. Next weekend, we will have more staff on duty, a greeter upon arrival, and staff members that are purely dedicated to guests on the Wine Just off the Vine tour to ensure a proper experience. Our apologies; please let us make it up to you! If you are interested, we encourage you to contact Zac Webb at (717) 665-7021 extension 135. We appreciate your time and valuable feedback in helping us to improve our tour experience.

Thank you very much for your review, Denise! This review was meant for ‘Rumspringa Brewing Company’ or ‘Mount Hope Wine Gallery’ on Trip Advisor, not ‘Mount Hope Estate & Winery, home of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire’, which is a different location, staff, and operation. It is, however, our sister store. We apologize for having a staff member walk away and help another customer while also waiting on you. We have passed this information on to staff at Rumspringa Brewing Co./Mount Hope Wine Gallery. Thank you once again for your feedback.
