This is not a glamorous winery but it is great! There is a house (with a pool) and a small tasting room--with a port-a-potty(which I was told was clean). Our visit included a wonderful tour of the grounds followed by a $5 tasting. The tasting included many wines--I would say about 8-9--I like white so I stopped before the reds. The facility is simple but there was a gorgeous dog Ellie who greeted us and some much needed cheese and crackers in the tasting room. It was a wonderful stop on our winery tour. The bottles of wines were also reasonable $10-$15. This is they type of place you'd like to support. They do a nice job!

Rushland was a wonderful little vineyard. I'll admit--I had been there before and don't remember it being all that great, but our last trip there this past weekend was fantastic (maybe that year was a bad year for winemaking at their winery?). Not only was the lady at the tasting area knowledgable about the wines, but she was very nice and helpful. In fact, when we commented how their winery doesn't have fruit wines like some of the others, she pulled a bottle from underneath the counter with strawberry wine! It's made with 100% strawberries and is delicious. We knew we had to buy a bottle immediately. This winery has a nice range of both whites and reds--definitely something for everyone. We especially liked the country red and country white. And, perhaps the best part of all, each bottle is only $10! You can't beat that. If nothing else, get a bottle of the strawberry wine, chill, and enjoy!
