I've been to a few performances at UDHS Performing Arts and they've all been wonderful. Overall, excellent talent, great seats, good acoustics. This last time, however, I had someone in a wheelchair and encountered 2 negative experiences: one involved handicap parking (it's right outside the entrance, but for 1st time users, the entrance to the handicap parking area is difficult to find; it's actually the pavement and not in an official parking area). The 2nd negative aspect was we were told to go in the side entrance (along with the rest of the audience) and that the handicap seating was at that entrance. We did that, got our person out of her wheelchair, had her sit in a regular chair then discovered that we were to be at the opposite end of the auditorium (they have 2 sections for wheelchair seating and they go by your ticket number). It would have been convenient for us if the ushers had known this in advance and had correctly directed us to our seats to avoid the "back into the wheelchair, wheel through the crowds, get to the correct place, get out of the wheelchair" scenario. Hopefully, they'll read this and become more proactive by training their ushers in all aspects of designated seating. All in all, now that I know more about their handicap arrangement, I would not hesitate to bring someone in a wheelchair to a future performance.

My grandchildren and I have been attending summer stage productions for 10 years. We are never disappointed with the shows or the casts. The enthusiasm of the cast members is contagious and the talent is superb

My husband and I have been enjoying Upper Darby Performing Arts for many years. Every production we have seen is fabulous but we just saw the show Fiddler on the Roof that could have been a Broadway production. Do not miss out on seeing these shows. The theater is fantastic(not a bad seat anywhere you sit) and the price of the tickets is reasonable. The children's productions are also wonderful.

Summer Stage is fabulous for kids who participate in the plays and the audience. It is a gem in this community. There is real talent here.

Upper Darby Shooting Stars Holiday Show was the most recent of many performances for me and my family. Upper Darby Performing Arts Ctr is top rate and their shows, plays, musicals and children's theatre are like no other!!!

My 7-year-old son and I have attended 8 shows this year, each one a delightful experience. The performers are professional and the shows really highlight their talents. It is perfect for children, as the performances are usually 1 - 1 1/2 hours long and packed with excitement so the little ones don't get "bored". My son can't wait to join the group when he is a bit older!
