the national centre for padre pio

This Centre is one of the best kept secrets in the area. On an off-day, I like to go the Centre when it is quiet from other guests and travelers. The open space is absolutely gorgeous and the peace and calm that the Centre provides is wonderful. This is a great place to pray or meditate no matter what faith, religion or non-religion you may be. I don't practice organized religion, but I love going to this location for the spirituality of it - it is glorious. I light candles and reflect.

Went here on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Not crowded. Situated on a hill overlooking fields and hills which added to the peaceful feeling. Padre Pio's (now St. Pio) confessional is in a beautiful chapel which resembles his church in Italy. They have a conference room, cafe, and a large gift shop with everything you ever wanted to know about Padre Pio. This place is a spiritual oasis in a hectic world!

A very spiritual place for those who wNt to renew the catholic faith....a chapel and a museum on the grounds as well as a picnic area...a must see!
