Local favorite park and beach area, this place gets busy during holidays but has room and something for everyone. Kind of a rustic outdoorsy beachy feel, beach meets wilderness feel.

I love this place. Just breathtaking views and a great place to just walk around and take in nature. The beach in the summer is perfect for the kiddos. Great place to bike and camp. I'm not sue what someone would not like about this place.

This is a terrific place to hike, snowshoe, cross country ski, walk the sand dune boardwalks, picnic, camp and take in the sights and sounds of nature. This is one of my favorite places!

We picked up some food from Fast Food row in Sheboygan and headed out to the State Park for a mid afternoon picnic. We went to the beach front area and grabbed a picnic table right across the beach road next to the woodline. This is a nice place to people watch and enjoy the afternoon. Can't wait until spring as this is one of our favorite simple pleasures.

This park is a wonderful place for families with small children and pets. The playground is nice and close to the picnic area. There is also a designated dog beach and hiking path. The campground has lots of trees and shade as well as nice restrooms and bath house with plenty of spots that offer electricity.

This state park has so many great opportunities with space to spare! Whether you are camping, skiing, snow shoeing, running, swimming, walking or more, you will not be disappointed with the great scenery the outdoors has to provide. Located right along Lake Michigan and home to many wildlife creatures, it completes this grand outdoors experience!

We visited in October so the bathrooms at the campground were closed. We want to return in the summer. We camped on site 88, which was large and spacious, although we were in a tiny T@B trailer. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The busy season was over but there were several campers there for the weekend. The beach was wonderful!

Nice state park for just a drive or to wonder the beach. They have a good nature center to explore. Great walks on the beach.

Two and a half miles of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline is reason enough to come explore this 1100 acre park! A nature center packed with info, special programs, clean, private camping, hiking, biking and great staff. Come for a day or stay for a week. Plenty to do!

Well our experience at Kohler-Andre State park was wonderful!!!!!After arriving and checking in, our site was really hard to get into with our travel trailer so we had to get another site and boy we are glad we did, we think it's the best site thoughout the whole park!Close to showers and bathroom, close to the playground, walking trails, the lake, which was so nice to walk on and see lots of draftwood!Did not see many boats which we thought was odd!But then it was durning the wk.Very clean campground and quite,we arrrived Labor Day and it was a bit busy when we got there, had to wait in line to get water for our camper but all was good! Will for sure go back next yr we only live 1/1 half hr away,so it not to far!We enjoy camping at the Wisconsin State Park:)

When I was a child, my family camped at Kohler-Andre State Park and it was always an adventure, whether hiking the trails, exploring the woods or swimming in the lake. Although I don't camp anymore, I still go there to walk. There is a boardwalk that goes through the dunes and its a nice hike but be sure to bring sunscreen and bug spray. Walking the beach with my feet in the water is still my favorite. If the lake isn't too high, you can walk for miles along the sandy shore. You can bring your dogs on the north end and the south end has a nice swimming beach with a bathhouse and vending machines. The beach and facilities are always clean and we'll maintained. Being a state park, there is a charge but you can park your car on the road outside the park and walk in for free. It is well worth getting a yearly sticker though because even just a drive through the park is enjoyable. Deer are abundant, especially in the fall and the marsh area has a boardwalk where you can see plants and birds naive to the area. This park is a must-see if you're in the area.

We hiked every trail in the parks and all were very nice. You can hike in woods, in a marsh, on the sand dunes and the beach. I do not think I have been anywhere that had such a variety of landscapes. Some of the camp sites can be a little weird. Ours was nothing more than a pull off on the road which would not have been bad but our fire ring was about 30 yards away from our camper. Up stairs about 20 feet or so, we certainly got our exercise on this trip.

A very fragile and beautiful environment in which you might view cranes, deer, songbirds, 13 striped ground squirrels that are fat and cute. This is a very special spot and well worth the journey from wherever but you'd better be prepared to move fast and not stop while hiking in order to avoid having all the blood sucked out of your body by the mad swarms of mosquitos everywhere! I really think the lack of birds and bats has affected the control of mosquitos and flies in this area. I feel for any mammal that calls this place home and I think maybe the lack of abundant wildlife is due to the bug population explosion recently. Another thing that put a damper on my stay was the surprise extra $20 "parking" fee that I was charged on top of the $53 parking fee I paid online! What the blazes is that about???Aside from the bloodsuckers both state and insect, I would have given this beautiful park 5 STARS for being so amazing.

We arent totally out of towners, but wanted something to do on a day off. We wanted to take our dogs as well. It was so much fun, made us feel one with nature and like we were exploring uncharted territory. Lake Michigan was a little cool but the dogs didn't mind. They are allowed on the north beach I believe. Keep walking along the sand, you will find your own spot. The only thing we did not enjoy was the flies biting us. Not sure if there is any way to prevent that. Park was clean. Nothing crazy. Drove around the camping area just to see what it was like and I woukd love to check that out sometime. Everyone had their own area. Very nice. $7 to park car for a day.
