This is a great location. Only negative is that you have to carry all your supplies down a steep hill. (Then back up when you leave) The beach is a decent size on a small lake. The sand is very nice, not too rocky. There is an "island" (high point) you can swim to in the middle of the lake. We snorkeled and saw many small fish. We put bread crumbs in water bottles to attract them even more. Kids were so excited! :) There are changing rooms and restrooms. Grills for use with charcoal. A small sheltered picnic area available. Enough green space that people were playing football or throwing frisbees. There are a couple of trails to hike. I believe they were both around 1/2 to 1 mile. ?? Bring your bug spray. They are thick!

This is a nice beach, fairly large with lots of sand. The lake is shallow for a long way, so it's safe, easy swimming. However, stay on the beach side of the buoys! There's a big drop-off. The nature trail is also nice. You have a good chance for watching loons. The kids have a blast catching frogs.
