best burger I have had in the U.S. by far. The locally sourced beef perfectly seasoned, served on a basic hamburger bun with raw or fried onions, plain or with American cheese. You don't need anything else, except maybe one of their great great bloody mary's as well!

Joe Rouer's burgers are voted the "best of the bay" year after year for a reason. They are always served up hot, tasty and with great service. If you go over the weekend be prepared for a wait, but enjoy a drink and visit, it is definitely worth the wait.

Nice place to visit with kids, it has a game room with seating separate from the bar. Good food also. We stop here a few times a year.

I've been coming to Joe Rouer's for thirty years, ever since I moved to the area, and I haven't found a better burger or a more hospitable joint around. A nice country bar that offers a nice menu and friendly service. Their burgers are what they are known for, but everything on the menu is excellent. Try the chili or booyah, you won't be disappointed. Only a few miles off the highway if your traveling to Door County so it is well worth the detour. Hopefully nothing will change here once the word gets out.
