Lovely displays, impressive setting, informed staff. A must for anyone interested in fiber arts. A special Ozaukee County attraction.

Beautiful building and grounds even when covered with snow. Wool show runs another week and was definitely worth the visit. Historic quilts as well as more recent items. Great gift shop included books, ornaments, bags and all sorts of hand crafted things. Admission seemed a bit pricey at $8.

This is an old barn made into an exquisite display venue for quilts of all types. The current show was focused on items made from wool. There was a mitten knitting class taking place on a lower level as well while we were there.

Really enjoyed the exhibit and had a tour by a very knowledgeable guide, who was also the owner of many of the items in the collection. Not just quilts but other fabric arts also. Plus a gift shop. They also have classes.

There is something here for everyone even if you are not into quilts. The quilts displayed both antique and 'modern' were eye popping and well displayed. The gift shop had an amazing array of hand crafted items for sale. The curator led us on a tour of the German farm and explained the plans for renovating and using the old buildings for educational purposes. The museum itself is housed in the original German-style barn which has been beautifully restored and enlarged. It's just a short drive from the quaint downtown area of Cedarburg shops and restaurants.

A nice way to spend an hour or more depending on your level of interest. I am not a quilter but still enjoyed the exhibit. Very nice displays of both contemporary and antique quilts when I visited. The museum is located in a restored barn on a former farm and is only a few minutes from the shops of Cedarburg. It was only $6 admission ($4 for seniors) and well worth it. In speaking with the volunteers, you can tell this is a labor of love for them.

Take a minute to step into a cool, beautifully lit barn with so many attractive displays. Wall hangings, quilted pieces, ever changing collections on show. As a plus, the Museum gift shop is a treasure trove of those wonderful, hand-made items you have your eye out for. It is so accessible, an interlude of quiet calm in an otherwise hectic world. Give it a try!

Wow, Thank you for offering such a wonderful mix of vintage and contemporary design options! The blend of traditional and new ways of doing things is good for adults and kids who want to learn.

The curator was very friendly. there were a lot of contemporary quilts and some art quilts to review. they were a little dull in color for my taste but ok if you like pastels. The bard where the quilts hang is quite impressive to see.

Our neighbor builds quilts. We like to find things she might be able to use to encourage her quilt pursuits. There was an international quilt display going on while we were there. I took pictures (after asking if it was okay), and sent them to my neighbor via my smart phone.I found it quite interesting, and would love to go back for future displays.

My daughter and I made a detour to visit this attraction while in Cedarburg for a long "girls" weekend. We walked into the museum and found that it was largely a small collection of clothes/cloths that were handwoven accompanied by a small gift shoppe with books on fibres/weaving etc. but truthfully, there was just not enough to warrant paying a fee to get into (I felt) though of course I understand that any not for profit needs to do ongoing fundraising. Would have liked to see the museum have a more robust display of quilts and other handwoven fabrics etc.

My sister makes quilts, so on a day-trip to Cedarburg I insisted we find this museum, even though it was late afternoon and we were weary. We were greeted by a very friendly woman who offered to give us a quick history of the place and answered our questions. We opted not to do the museum itself, but enjoyed the displays outside its entrance and the gift shop. We also did a quick walk around the grounds. The work done to turn a barn into a museum is impressive. We plan to return some day for a "real" visit.

Restored barn and out buildings have been repurposed as a display area for both older and contemporary quilts and fabric art works. Lovely space and great to see both what had been done with the buildings and the lovely art works.

The first time I visited the museum years ago, displays were in a small, stone house and an old barn. Have things changed in subsequent years! The gift shop and gallery are now housed in a wonderfully renovated barn which fits in beautifully with Cedarburg's historic past.My friend and I were greeted by a welcoming volunteer who shared a bit of information about the museum, including plans for Phase II which would add another barn to the property for added gallery space. We were then told that we could pay the $6 admission fee at the gift shop desk and pass through into the gallery. Yes - there is an admission fee even though I couldn't find any mention of it on their website. I would think they would share that information so there aren't any surprises. Anyway...The Biennale display that we saw is their first bi-annual display of quilts and fiber arts submitted by Wisconsin residents. It included some fantastic, colorful quilts as well as hooked rugs and clothing. They are already planning their next event for 2015 and visitors can sign up to receive information as it becomes available. The breadth of creativity was definitely an inspiration. The gift shop included a wonderful assortment of all sorts of things that relate to quilting and fiber arts - jewelry, books, table runners, craft projects, toys, etc. I couldn't resist the stick pins with colorful, fancy tops that won't get lost in the carpeting when I work on projects. If you're planning a trip to the museum, I would recommend checking out the website for information on the ever-changing displays. The website also offers information about upcoming classes, school tours, etc.

Such a nice, creative place to find in a small town. I appreciated the local art and artists' work. Worth stopping by
