Very nice sand and shallow a long way out, also the waves don't threaten to whip you out and drown a non swimmer.

Beautiful views of Kaho'olawe, Molokini and Lanai'i, snorkelling, lots of waves, magnificent sunsets and there is a life guard on duty.

We didn't get a chance to enjoy this beach until the last day of our stay at the Maui Banyan. I wish we came here sooner. The sand was sooo soft. Once you take one step into the water, your foot starts to sink in like a quicksand (in a safe playful way).Tip #1:The sand here is so soft and the winds are so strong here, that if you leave your towel by itself on the sand, it will blow away. I wondered why there were so many big rocks scattered throughout the beach, and when I saw my towel blow away I knew why. Make sure you use the big rocks to weight your towel towel down, so it doesn't fly away.Tip #2:The waves arn't too strong, and they're not very big here. That makes it perfect for beginner boogie boarding. Try boogie boarding here if you've never done it.

We enjoyed watching the sunset here after our first day in Maui. The view was beautiful and the sand was nice. We'd usually go across the street for ice cream (below Denny's) and then sit in the sand. It was great. Not too crazy busy either.

We body boarded, swam, snorkeled, tanned, practically lived at this beach while we were there. There is some lava for visual interest, turtles to see while snorkeling by the rocks, really picturesque and the waves weren't out of this world so families were comfortable swimming there. Everyone gathered for sunset nightly. It has a set up to wash off sandy feet, some tables up top and bathrooms as well.

This is an excellent beach with clear water. Waves are not very high. Interesting that we had bigger waves in Kamaole Beach Park II, which is very close. Sand beach, no rocks in the bottom. We saw big turtles just in between Kamaole park II and I.

Lots of beach, family orientated .... See whales often! Waves are just the right size so every age can enjoy themselves.

This is the best area for swimming. The water is clear, with a sandy beach. It's in a bay without a big drop off. The waves are not as intimidating as Makena Big Beach which is beautiful, but very dangerous in the winter. Because of the big drop off at shore break.

Kamaole II has been changed by the winter storms, beach erosion has reduced the amount of beach available making it more crowded as well leaving more small rocks on the beach. Parking is still limited and hard to find during peak times, better to park up in lot by ABC store and walk down. Sunsets are still spectacular and during whale season, you can see whales from the shores. They have bathrooms and showers with restaurants right across the street. If you want a longer walking beach go to Kamaole I, if you want more grass go to Kamaole III. Since the beaches are along the same shore it's easy to compare and decide which one is best for the activities you plan. The beaches are typically more calm in the morning, winds pick up in the afternoon. There are four nearby places to rent paddle boards, snorkel gear and beach gear you may need. You can chose to swim, build sand castles, play in the water, get that suntan or just walk the beach.

I really enjoyed this beach. Lots of sand and surf. Not much grass to this park, so go here for sand and surf activities only. Amenities include nearby toilets and outdoor showers. It's great for swimming, surfing or sun bathing.

This is a nice beach but the parking is limited. Make sure you get there early. They have bathrooms and shower areas.

It is a beautiful beach with an area of trees and grass for about 50 yards behind beach itself. Fun to go on a week end or holiday as the park is crowed with friendly local families enjoying a cookout with the entire family from grandparents to infants. Not crowded with tourist like many beaches.

This beach park offers some shade but really nothing that distinguishes it as a great beach. The was some litter about and the surf is often pretty rough. The are better beaches in Wailea.

every morning me and my husband woke up and walk on the beach to enjoy the sea breeze and the amazing sunrise

Great Beach for soaking up the sun! It's a great distance to many Kihei condo's and has beautiful sand. The kids loved visiting it.
