This course is now closed to the public as of 12/31. Such a bummer. We sure hope they offer some options for locals and tourists to play the course in the future.

One of the best courses I have ever played... too bad they it is going private. The course layout was outstanding and demanding; the views were amazing; the staff was very accomodating

super lesson with the pro (my first one in 40 years, but he was so good I played 9 very difficult holes afterwards) They really do things right here, with terrific service from the guys running around in carts, bringing you pieces of pineapple. So sad they will close to become private. A great loss to Princeville.

The employees could care less, the place has been sold and is closing at the end of the year, to be completely remodelled and made easier and develop homes. Purchased by a Thai-Chinese millionare/billionare who plans to take it private and make it easier for people he will target to sell to. The employees are being laid off, and they could care less about final clientele. You'd think they'd invite everyone to come out and play and enjoy the final days of the Prince course, but they don't honor previously issued promotions, or have any understanding or customer service (unless soliciting gratuities.) What a shame. For shame, for shame! And what a loss.

It was great, but has been bought out buy millionaires and is going private. Very hard course, we lost several balls, but had a good time.

We loved the course; I thought I'd regret the pricey green fees, but we had such a good time, and there were so many scenic photographic opportunities, I felt it was well worth it in the end.Regarding the Tavern, poor food and poor service.

I have played many great golf courses, but none have the beauty, the difficulty, condition of the Prince course. Unless you are height sensitive there are no down sides to this golf course, but the vistas can distract you from your game.

None of my family golfs; nor do we wish to learn. It was a major surprise to us how much I, my husband and my stepdaughter loved the Prince Course sunset tour. Basically, at 4 PM you are let loose on one of the world’s most gorgeous golf courses and told to bring the cart back by dark. The carts don’t have headlights. But they do have GPS.For $25.00 plus tax per cart this was by far best value of any attraction we did on Kauai. The views and landscape are breathtaking. And there’s no danger or strenuous activity. It was my favorite activity of the trip. Even our seventeen year old daughter was amazed. The staff was great! The club house is magnificent with multi-story windows which look out over the mountains and sea. We ate at The Tavern. It’s not cheap but the food is world class. I can’t say enough accolades about Prince Golf course.

I loved it. Played for bogie and shot an 89. My fiance played it for par and didn't score so well. Have to adjust your game for the course. Stunning views and well manicured.

Beautiful, challenging course, great scenery. The course employees were very helpful with advice on playing the course.

I traveled on the golf cart with my husband. It was a fun day with beautiful views I paid 35$ to travel on the cart but worth the money.

The first tee is intimidating. You're greeted by a fairway that at 220 yards or so is wide enough, but slopes away to the hazard...which in this case is basically jungle...but then the fairway narrows and turns hard right, away from your intended target, the green,...then it snakes back toward the green looking ever narrowing. The course starter is knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful and tells me that a shot of about 220 yards will be good if you can hit it straight and keep it in the middle to right side of the fairway. That's the beginning of a truly magnificent round of golf that requires the golfer to 'think'. This is a stunningly beautiful course that insists you know how long you hit each club in your bag. Many tee shots require less than driver and if you take the time to consider each shot you can have a fantastic time playing this course. Strategy is imperative to ensure the next shot. If you have game then this course is a truly exceptional test. You don't have to be a long hitter...you just have to manage the course. You'll love it. I have never enjoyed a round more. Thank you Mr. Robert Trent Jones Jr. for this truly exceptional golf experience.

The service is also terrific. We played here yesterday and got caught in some pretty serious rain. Just when we were thinking of going in to try and wait it out, the marshal arrived and suggested we do just that and we could come back and play the back 9 any other day this week!It is a stunningly beautiful course and certainly challenging with its links design, but if you have some degree of accuracy and use good strategy, it is very manageable. The clubhouse also has a great bar and restaurant so your 19th hole can sooth your wounds if you aren't happy with your score.

This property just sold so who knows what changes are in order. Very pricey and not used to much but the course is very nice. Another option to view the course is you can rent a cart for 20.00 and tour the course from 4-6:30 and see the great views. You can take cocktails on the course as well. The Tavern is all that is left on the property except for the club house. Tavern is over rated for dining.
