Drove by and was so glad I stopped. This place is a hidden jewel in miniatures. You will be amazed by all the details and depth of the collection. I loved the history of the collections and the absolute perfection which went into each collection. Even if you are not a collector you will be impressed by the museum. I have been to many many museums, and this ranks as a must visit one! Highly recommend! I spent about two hours walking around this fairly small house! My favorite (aside from all of it) was the fantasy princess and prince. Turn the lights off if you can-really worth it!

An enjoyable small museum of the work of serious artisans and collectors. You are free to wander the several rooms at your own pace. Some displays are whole houses, and some are just room displays, such as the Sherlock Holmes room with all the clues present from Doyle's books.

I was astounded at the incredible assortment of such detailed miniature doll houses. An Egyptian palace, a log cabin, a mid-century modern?!? What a place to visit! We ended up staying 2-3 hours just to absorb all the detailing. My personal favorites were the metal doll houses that I personally played with in the 50's. All those feelings came rolling on back...Would happily return around holiday time when the houses are in decoration mode. A gem!

Different and fun to do. If you are a detailed or meticulous person you might enjoy this museum even if you are not into miniatures. They display fine craftsmanship which is always a delight. Right downtown in the Carmel Arts and Design District. A fun day with many great restaurants and other fun boutiques and shopping nearby.

The absolutely charming museum is filled with fully accessorized doll houses of many styles from over the years, as well as other toys of bygone days. Parents and grandparents will enjoy happy memories from their youths. Children will love finding all of the items on a provided scavenger hunt list as they marvel over the intricate details of the houses and their furnishings. A visit is fun for all ages.

The museum is only open for limited hours, so I studied the miniature house in the Main Street window to see whether I should plan to visit later. The Victorian house had been furnished in a very crowded manner, the items were not in scale, and I do not believe that a parlor of that era would have had a picture of Julio Inglesias on the wall, let alone an autographed one. The museum might be delightful for children, but this display was not compelling for a person who knew some things about miniature collection standards and about the Victorian period.

After spending a long day in the Carmel Arts District, we came here half an hour before it closed. This museum is very unique. It has so many little houses and things. Some things are amazing, have so much detail but so small. Very enjoyable museum.

I just love this place. We live up the street and love everything about the houses. Give it a try and you will be surprised how much fun it is be a kid again for an hour or two. This lace really is not for small children. 6 years of age and up is really a good lace to start. It is small so baby strollers are not a good thing. Also, call ahead, the hours are short. I believe it is staffed with caring volunteers so they are not open late. It is a great time, so if you are visiting Carmel or live here, you will enjoy the exhibits.

The Museum has given our local Girl Scout troops tours for years. It was such an interesting experience that my daughters requested to return to see displays in more details, and they were eager to bring their grandmother along as well. A great community treasure!

I just love seeing all the doll houses and how they are made. Some of them are amazing. They also have a small store.

This place is such a quaint and cute addition to the Carmel Arts District and is perfect for anyone who loves dollhouses and miniatures. My personal favorite was the miniature of Alan Rickman's dressing room, quirky but cool!

One of those fun places to go where you don't have to walk a lot and can finish in 45 minutes. I go about once a year and are surprised every time. The craftsmanship of these miniature delicacy is amazing. The people are nice and sweet also. My only complaint is there short hours. i don't think this place is open more than 15 hours a week.
