not just popcorn

I've been here a few times. Usually on our way to Florida, or returning from Florida. Anyways, this place has hundreds of flavors of popcorn. You can also purchase a tin of popcorn too. Discounts available for popcorn tin refills. Excellent tasting popcorn. I definitely enjoy the caramel popcorn and the cheese popcorn. I highly recommend both items.

We were on a trip to Brown county and with all of the hotels booked we ended up staying outside of Edinburgh. We learned about Not Just Popcorn from TripAdvisor and thought it would be a fun side trip. The staff working that day was very nice and when we asked how long the popcorn would last if shipped they asked where it was going. We mentioned our son in the USAF was currently deployed and we thought this might brighten his day. They stated the owner sends care packages to deployed servicemen & women and even took us in the back room to show us letter and items they've received from units thanking them for the popcorn. Then they asked for our son's name and address (APO) and advised they would send him some popcorn. We even left $$ in the jar on the counter that stated the donations would be used to send popcorn to service persons.We were there almost two months ago and our son has never received anything. Now, I did not ask for the donation, we were told this was something they did. We came home all excited and told our son to be looking for a package. While his life would not be drastically changed whether he receives the package or not I feel they do not keep their word.I will say we enjoyed the popcorn we purchased for ourselves and our son enjoyed the popcorn we sent him I feel we were misled.

I read about Not Just Popcorn on TA. I called and the owner answered. We set up a tour. The tour was surprisingly almost an hour long. It was fun to see how the corn is popped and how the flavorings are added and mixed. They have many fun flavors. This would be a good destination for children and adults. We enjoyed it.

When we travel, we try to spend our money at the most amount of locally-owned places possible. This place deserved all of it!We arrived 10 minutes before closing on a Saturday. The staff never tried to hurry us or rush us out the door. They were very friendly, even giving us a quick tour of the facility! When we expressed interest in a few flavors, they gave us 6 samples, which were all amazing! We finally decided on a few, and the employees happily made us bags in the sizes we wanted. So much better than microwave popcorn!The store has shipped all over the world, and will soon be shipping to me!

Not Just Popcorn is so much fun. Take the tour. It costs two dollars and it's so worth it. We learned the difference between corn and popcorn, how the popping is done, what's done afterwards, how they keep their recipes secret and how they apply the hundreds of flavors. That's right, hundreds! When we went they had 379 flavors. They had just added Snickerdoddle. It tasted like the cookies of my childhood. The monkey bread flavor is also wonderful. Perhaps our favorite was the dark chocolate cherry cordial. It's addictive! Many modern wedding receptions have popcorn bars. And they were making little give-away packages for guest that said "Eat, drink, and be married!" It had the couples' names and the date of their wedding. Don't live in Indiana? They ship. Some of their flavors are most unusual. We tried the dill pickle popcorn. Not as bad as it sounds and surprisingly popular. They even have one that tastes like catsup. Perhaps their most unusual flavor is Horehound. That's not a flavor they keep on hand. You'll be eating popcorn on your tour, then they give you a wide variety of samples, so you can pick your favorite flavors. They have a variety of bag sizes and tin sizes. If you buy a tin, you get half off on any refills... forever! Stop by to take a tour you'll be talking about for a long time.

Not Just Popcorn is a must visit when in the area. We take almost all of our out of town guests up to sample some of their amazing popcorn. They have some amazing AND interesting flavors. Many you would never dream of, but actually taste really good. If something sounds interesting, see if you can get a sample of it. They are always happy to share if they have some available. Remember they offer half off refills on their popcorn tins. So make sure to get a small gallon tin and keep bringing it back for more. If you love cheese popcorn, their Chicago Cheddar is a must have! Your fingers will be orange, but its finger licking good!

Carol, the owner, is wonderful. She and the sales people are very friendly. You may taste samples of some of the flavors. There are flavors you would never dream of for popcorn. See about a tour.
