What a beautiful winery!!! The wine is SO good. It is so smooth, almost a creamy texture, with perfect flavors! Our favorite is the Red, White and Blue which is a grape and blueberry mix. The wines are also reasonably priced, especially if you buy a case. Plus if you buy a case of 12, you get a 13th free!

We created our own wine trails with one west and one east of Charlotte NC and we really enjoyed Wood Mill Winery. They do not have a massive selection of wines just yet but what they do have that most others do not is a dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, and sweet of each of their wines so there is something for everyone. Great Scuppernongs and Muscadines and wonderful Christmas wines. We were served by Harley who is the brother of the husband of the daughter of the owner and the daughter was there as well so it was truly a family affair! The tasting room and outside deck are large with a great view and we could imagine wonderful events held here. We purchased several bottles of wine to take home and recommend a visit.

I did a wine tasting here and it was one of the best I've been to. They have a WIDE variety ofmuscadine (and some fruits) wines. If you like dry, semi-sweet or sweet, they have it. This issome of the absolute best muscadine wine I've ever had. My server was very friendly and informative and she offered a couple of suggestions for me to try. Fortunately, a wine shop inmy area carries their wines, so I will be able to replinish my supply.

I got married there in 2010. Love the place. It is deep in country, people are very friendly. Visited few times to buy their wine. Will go buy more wine.

We were fortunate to take advantage of the February special tasting that included a chocolate and wine pairing. Our server Erin was very friendly and easy to talk to. While I usually prefer a more dry wine, I very much enjoyed the (semi-sweet) pairing with different chocolates. We also had a tour of the facility and Erin shared the family story behind the beginning of this winery. What an interesting story and we learned a lot about the health benefits of muscadine wine. I will definitely return in the warmer months as I am sure the vineyard is just beautiful when the vines are green.
