We visit every November to this area and sandpiper is one of our golf destinations. Friendly staff and three great nines make up this course. It is very reasonable priced.

But Shannon in the club house gets SEVEN out of five. Cooooold day but we truly appreciate the condition the greens were in. THANK YOU. Thank you for the warm southern hospitality on this cold day. We enjoyed the course and wish we had a warmer day and earlier start to take in more than just Piper and Bay.

We played the Sand and the Piper nines. The course is in very good condition and the greens are smooth and true. The Piper 9 has 3 par 3's, 3 par 4's, and 3 par 5's which is a unique 9 holes. Sandpiper is a very good value during the winter. We play it almost every year that we come to MB. The staff is very professional and the practice area is large and well maintained. There is good room off of the tees and this makes the course a good start for your MB golf vacation. Very good course for the price!

Sandpiper Bay has 3 9 holes, so you get a different round each time you play. They have free range balls and a chipping and putting section. I have played these courses many times and in different weather conditions. The course is pretty flat but there is enough water and trees to make it challenging. The greens are good but they could be a little faster, and the traps could use some better sand. The staff is friendly and they will work in a single player if you are by yourself. Green fees are reasonable. There is a club house were you can get a snack at the turn or relax with a beverage after your round. If you want a fun round of golf in the South NC coast, Sandpiper bay is worth a try. You may even see one of the local gators on the course.

Good staff, nice design and in great condition. Post round specials on snacks and drinks in a restaurant with a nice view of the course and large pond with waterfowl. We play this one on most of our golf trips.

This is a decent layout that has 3 9's. It is up against some very tough competition with other area courses that are top notch tracks. This one is still good though and is reasonably priced. It will challenge you and offer you the chance to pull out the driver as well as play it safe. The course was in very good condition on the day I played it. The greens were a little slower than what I was used to back home but the putts still rolled true. The staff was courteous. You won't go wrong making a drive here to play at least once.

Not a bad course to play. They have some nice holes but the greens were recently aerated and still recovering. Not the best course I've been on but it was decent. Probably plays much nicer when greens are in tact. There are 27 holes so you have some options.

I played this course for the first time in ten years. It's a decent course and is in pretty good shape. The greens were aerated which made them play very slow. The ball didn't have a true roll on the greens. The course is nothing special but is a fun place to play.

This is the first time I have played this course in about 20 years. They have done a lot of updating and have improved the drainage significantly. The last time I played here it was muddy and almost unplayable after a rainfall. This was the day after Hurricane Arthur came by and it was drained well enough we were able to take the carts on the fairways.

This course has three nine-hole courses, each very different from the other but all providing both a challenge to the low handicapper and yet allowing the higher handicapper ways around the challenges. The greens are mini-verde ultra-dwarf and run very true. There are balls on the driving range for those who have purchased a tee time. Practice on the putting green next to the clubhouse and you will be ready. The staff, both inside and outside, are very helpful and willing to provide you with an excellent round of golf.

Great course. Player friendly, good staff, nice clubhouse. Course in very good shape. Not sure why Carol C thought driving range was unacceptable - imagine having divots on a driving range! If Carol C works for "one of the top 100 courses in the world" maybe she should go play Grand Dunes for $$150. Sandpiper is as good or better than most courses on the Grand Strand - I have played them all. Every time I have played the staff is professional, the beverage cart is always out, and all 3 nines were in great shape. If the bunkers were not playable, then stay out of them.

This is a great golf course. It has 3 nines which are all different (not like some which are very much the same on the Grand Strand). Each 9 has a fun layout. The Sand, The Piper and The Bay are all different. For example, the Bay has water on every hole.Despite the bad weather which we have had, the grounds staff has done the utmost to keep the course in good shape. We enjoy playing here. The staff is friendly and accommodating and very helpful. We look forward to playing here many more times in the future.

How did this course get the title of Best New Course in 2010 re Myrtle Beach. Was told by Pro Shop greens were fast, 10-12 rating. In actuality were rolling at 8-9 on the stemp. Fairways had poor drainage and were wet, all bunkers were unplayable due to water and very firm sand.. Driving range basically divots everywhere...couldn't even think about hitting an iron shot to warm up. Tee time was 2:00 p.m. but starter tried to hustle us onto the first tee 20 minutes earlier which I refused. We were charged a $43 fee and told it was an excellent price.. Sandpiper is no deal @ $ 43 FYI - these comments are from a person who works for one of the top 100 golf courses in the world.Beverage food cart was as good as non-existent. Course marshall did not do a very good job in moving players along as we were held up numerous times by slow play in front of us.

We had a group of 28 guys there in October. Apparently we were an inconvenience. I have played many rounds of golf in Myrtle Beach. This was my worst experience.

Very nice layout. Three (3) nines, all of which are very woman friendly. Very scenic with water on many of the holes. Staff is friendly and the clubhouse is adequate, but the food and drink was just mediocre and that kept this review from getting an "excellent".
