the new digs are bright with lots of sunlight, wood and copper are shining, and the foam on the cappacino continues to be the best in town (they know how to do it in here!) Absolutely love the new place..just an extremely welcoming feel to it...Highly recommended.

it was a really cool, friendly hang out that i would certainly recommend to people to go check out. they have an extensive and impressive drink menu.

We were 8 adults needing a break from wandering the countryside in the August sun. D&W is on a side street in Pittsboro; it offers weird and wonderful art on the walls, a good collection of games, the Tardis, AND a shelf of free books. Oh, and a solid coffee shop menu - complete with sodas and beer (something for everyone, right?). More than reasonably priced (it was under $20 for the 8 of us, which she assured me was correct, but it still sounds crazy to me!)My daughter went back a few days later to show it to all HER friends, definitely a hit with the 20-somethings. Would also do well with teens.

My wife and I visited D&W in Pittsboro in July for an afternoon drink and a bit of a sit-down. The place is just a block from the center of Pittsboro, and is a unique place for a drink, be it coffee or alcohol. They offer a full bar as well as a wide range of coffees, with a stage in the corner and a DJ stand against one wall. The decor is pure Steampunk, which seems a niche market but is very appealing: paintings of Victorian ladies wearing goggles and brandishing blunderbusses hang alongside mustachioed gentlemen sporting pistolas and gear-laden top hats. T-shirts and knickknacks can be had at the front, while shelves in the bar area hold books to be borrowed or board games to be broken out.D&W hosts "Clockwork Balls," costume parties where customers dress in the abovementioned garb and dance to music of all kinds, as well as various other themed events throughout the year. We're looking forward to catching the next one! We enjoyed our visit, on a quiet afternoon when the place was mostly empty. Filled with like minded people, it looks to be a blast.Park your airship or dirigible, wax your mustache, polish up your monocle, and fill up your personal steam reservoir, and try it out; Davenport and Winkleperry will not disappoint.
