If you are passing through Jamestown, NC it might be worth driving to see it just so you can say "OMG that's huge" and snap a picture with family members standing under it (it's 85 feet tall). The detail on it is pretty amazing though but still not worth a special trip. You could even do some furniture shopping if you need furniture because the place is HUGE.

The world's largest dresser is not the attraction. In my opinion, it's only there because of the world's largest furniture store it is attached too. I had heard many varying opinions about High Point and Jamestown's furniture prices and selections. First, I'd like to say that it is definitely worth the trip, particularly if you are not too far away. You need all day. The store opens from 8:30 - 5:30 pm. There is so much to see that I would start early. There is a wide selection of all kinds of furniture. There is something for everyone. There are many name brand American names you will recognize. If you are into vintage, they have just opened a section of this massive store that is solely dedicated to vintage furniture. I was looking for a vintage dining table and they had much to choose from at very good prices. If you have been thinking about going to Jamestown and/or High Point because you are in the market for furniture, do not pass GO!

If you like something that contains nothing you'll love this waste of time and gas. I'm pretty sure the biggest ball of twine is more exciting than this. Really, who wants to see this?

So, this building is featured in many 'things to see' lists about the HP area. Very interesting article recently about it being sold off to an individual who not cannot keep up they costs along with vandalism, kids graffiti, etc It is a shame if it is torn down. Look up the history as well and you can see what it used to look like. Pretty amazing to see inside pics too. For the longest time I had no idea it was an actual building that they still hold city meetings in from time to time. Have to get a picture and show the kids. They are amazed at it and get a great kick out of it!

Not so much an attraction as it is an old fashioned photo op. Not a ticketed attraction. Reminiscent of the old Roadside America stops to entice visitors. This is the front of Furnitureland. Jamestown is part of the furniture building fabric that NC was once known for. Don't see many of these roadside attractions any more. Fun to see or include in a scavenger hunt.

You are going to have trouble finding a place to put this. Nestled amonst a bunch of furniture stores stands this giant Dresser. Classic Roadside Americana, and If you are in the area, wortha photo op with the kids.

great to show visitors, take pictures -- there are actually two to see: the one at Furnitureland South and the one on Hamilton closer to downtown High Point.
