This is a small lake with huge scenery. Great photo opps. This is great for anyone to relax, hike, and photograph... There is a store and gift shop. this is well worth the stop before driving through the park

We enjoyed visiting the lake. We only stayed a few hours, but it was worth the stop. We hiked the trail around, it was unexpected to got threw several passages in the rock. Then we climbed the large bolder in the lake. Awesome visit!

This place is amazing. The views are great. It is nice for taking a walk with family or with friends. I have gone there several times over the years and it has been a great experience every time. All ages can enjoy, from young children to adults. There are places to hike, walk, take pictures and more.

The lake is picturesque and just gorgeous. The rock formations with the clean, fresh scenery is wonderful. We rented paddle boats and kayaks and enjoyed the view

The resort, restaurant, and activities are all pretty good. You can fish, hike, canoe, eat, and relax all in one day.

The lake is beautiful. There are trails to walk around and we took a paddle boat ride out on the lake.

This was such a serene stop (early morning) on my way out of Custer Park and heading out towards Yellowstone. A great stop for photographers as you can see the beautiful rock formations mirrored in the still waters. There is a trail that follows the lake that leads to some waterfalls. Beautiful!

This lake was featured in the movie National Treasure 2 Book of Secrets. This lake is near perfect. You have breathtaking scenery, swimming, paddle boating, fishing, camping (across the road), and a fantastic picnic and beach area. Several hiking trails start or end there. The Sunday Gulch trail goes around the lake and features beautiful waterfalls.

pay to drive to it, it is worth it. The drive and the lake. We walked over to lake from parking area and while standing on the shore of calm lake they young mule deer walked within three feet of me. It was just so peaceful a quiet. worth the stop

Picture perfect. It is a man made lake with a swimming area that is not guarded. The small beach is sandy and the depth is shallow and slowly gets deeper. We were there in August and the water was cool but provided a much needed cool down on a hot day. There is a gift shop there as well as a store to buy food. Plenty of picture taking oportunites.

I was taken by surprise as we approached Silvin Lake as the reflection surrounding the lake was mirrored in the water. This to me is truly an inspiration for artist's.

Don't miss Sylvan Lake! Lots to do including hiking, swimming, and kayaking! If you don't want to do a lot of hiking the walk around the lake is beautiful! If you want to do a bit more hike Sunday Gulch Trail, it is a 3 mile long trail that goes over rocks and waterfalls! It is definitely a must stop place on your trip!
