I have a pilot's license and have always wanted to pilot a glider. It took a while to find one since I live on the coast, where no glider/soaring schools exist. This business, Bermuda High Soaring School was fantastic. They have a range of options, from a short/introductory (lower altitude) flight to a 5,000 foot, ~35 minute descent. This was a very enjoyable experience. The check pilot I flew with, Ledell Steele, was great. He gave me a short 'pre-flight' ,told me what to expect, told me when he was about to do something so I didn't miss any of the action. I got some great pictures, which I'll attach but this was one fantastic/fun adventure. Another glider flight was going up right after mine; a wife who was being given this as a gift f/her 60th birthday. On their 'history board', the oldest glider passenger was over 90.I highly recommend this; it is something you won't get to do often & is really a great adventure. Cost was reasonable, especially when compared to (f/instance) going up in a hot air balloon (which costs 2 to 3 times what this cost).
