A beautiful, well- kept park that has foot trails and a paved road that winds through park for those that want to see by car.Take a few minutes and walk this trail to see an abundance of wildlife.

What a glorious gem to find in the middle of Darlington, SC! So many boardwalks allows access to the very middle of an otherwise off-limits habitat. That means you can get up close and personal to so much of the associated wildlife. Also, there has been quite a bit of work to limit the growth of exotic species. As a celebration, you may be able to find the paw paw's fruit as a snack.

This is a wonderful place to walk or jog. I believe you can also ride your bike. There has been a lot of work done to the park to improve the paths and boardwalks. It was pretty much destroyed by Hurricane Hugo and through the years they have depended on donations and volunteer work to get the needed work done to restore it. Just remember to take or use insect repellent when you go, as it is a park built in a swamp.
