My mom and I had the opportunity to visit this tasting room on a recent trip to Walla Walla. The tastings are complimentary which is kind of unheard of in this region. They had 6 different varietals to try on the day we visited. As it was a Tuesday afternoon, we were the only visitors and the woman helping us (her name escapes me) was so welcoming. They had several great wines, and we each ended up purchasing a bottle to take home. All in all, it was a great experience!

We had not heard anything about this winery but decided to make it a stop on our 25 winery tour of the area. We had a wonderful experience tasting a wide range of very nice white and red wines. There were several hidden gems here especially among those wines sold only to their wine club members. All their wines are very reasonable priced at $15-$45 per bottle. Our tasting room host, Denice, was wonderful and we had a great time spending over an hour tasting and learning about their wines. Be sure to add this hidden gem to your winery tour of the area.

Having been here once before when the tasting room was jammed, I wanted to visit again at a less busy time. We were the first ones in for the day and had the place and hostess to ourselves for 20 minutes. That allowed for lots of Q&A time without the usual tasting room patter. Saviah's wines received many double gold awards at this year's Seattle Wine competition and we were able to taste several of them on this visit. I found their wines to be excellent including their second, more economical, label "The Jack." I also found their prices to be among the most reasonable of the 10 wineries that I visited during this trip. The cabernet franc and petite verdot were particularly appealing. It was refreshing to walk into a tasting room and see a sign telling us that the tastings were free rather than the ubiquitous $X.XX refundable with purchase. I highly recommend a visit to Saviah Cellars on the south side of Walla Walla.

Denise the hostess did a great job explain the wines and the winery. Wines were all very good. Also got to speak to the winemaker and owner Richard!

They have a very nice tasting room with a view. Thier selections of whites and reds were nice. I purchased a bottle of red to enjoy at home.

Very nice wines and reasonably priced too but what made our whole experience so perfect was the staff. They were very friendly and they actively welcomed well behaved children. We didn't intend buying any wine but we left having drunk one bottle of Reisling in the sunshine on their pretty patio area and one in the bag for later! There was no pushy sales pitch and tasting samples were a good size and free.
