My boyfriend and I had a great time on their sunset paddle. Even though I am not a very experienced kayaker, I felt that I was able to keep up with the tour. Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and helpful. I was surprised by how much knowledge he had to share with us about the local flora, fauna, and history of the region during our tour I would definitely recommend Sasquatch Adventure for somebody looking for a relaxing outing with friends!

Sasquatch Adventures is great for anyone seeking a thrilling and unique experience of the great outdoors in Washington state. Located not far from Portland, Seattle, and Mount Saint Helens its a great weekend getaway spot with plenty of fishing and kayaking for people of any skill. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable about the landscape and areas around the lake as it gives a beautiful view of the volcano. Also, if your the kind of person that is into a day out on the water they have really great rates for bigger groups big and small. Don't waste your time anywhere else, this experience for me and everyone I went with was definitely worth doing coming through Washington.

Sasquatch Adventures did a wonderful job of accommodating me. I am nearly 70, petty out of shape, and recovering from low back surgery. Nevertheless, I had a great time!! Dwaine, the owner, had just the right equipment to give me good back support and he gallantly and deftly helped me in and out of my kayak. We had a beautiful sunset paddle, saw an eagle, several great blue herons, and some song birds. It was a gentle, peaceful adventure. The wine tasting at Mt. St. Helens Cellars following the event was only a mile or so down the road also a lot of fun. Their wines were very good and reasonably priced, so we bought a few for ourselves and for gifts. I definitely recommend this outing as worth your time. It will leave you with a very nice memory.

We were very unhappy with Sasquatch Adventures. They canceled our trip 1 1/2 hours before our reservation. We rented a motel, paid a babysitter and bought out of state fishing licences for the trip. I am not usually one to leave negative feedback but they were rude and unprofessional in resolving the issue.

Kayakers have a love of anything outdoors - I get it. Hey, let's start a business doing what we love. Get it. Plus operating a small business and dealing with the public can be challenging. Get it. However, if said business wants to succeed - they need to ensure their customers are well-informed and have the total package experience. From walking in the door, learning about the guides and equipment, getting proper instructions - communication is KEY. We had a nice guide - he was friendly - and knowledgeable about kayaks and the area - but he could have either had an assistant or better plan for some of the logistics. Glad I had a discount voucher, just saying.

I've been on a ton of kayaking tours in really wonderful locations in the world. Was this kayaking tour competitive against those - no. But, did I feel like I got my $70 out of it for 90 mins on the water - probably. The kayaks were really comfortable, which makes a difference. The guide explained the route we were taking and what wildlife we might see. He then gave some basic instructions on kayaking for the beginners. His technique of getting us in and out of the boats from the dock was really appreciated. The guide was really helpful overall and friendly. He waited for us all before we caravaned down to the winery. The wine tasting was held presented by a nice couple who were really passionate about their wines and gave good information about how they got into the business. Overall, a positive experience for the $70 we paid for 2 people.

Some friends and I purchased a Groupon package for a sunset kayak tour followed by a wine tasting. The location (Silverlake, WA) is beautiful with views of Mt St Helens and Mt Rainer as you make your way around Treehouse Island. However, the guide staff was a bit flaky. First the check-in procedure was not very clear, we had to figure out on our own what the procedure was - on other kayak tours I've done the guides would make it very clear what the plan was.Once we got on the water our guide was adequate, but not very interactive. She did very little talking or explaining of what we were seeing. Luckily our group was experienced enough that we were all comfortable on the water. The real problem arose after we got back and headed for the wine tasting. The guide was supposed to take us to the wine tasting down the road at St Helens Winery. Instead, she took off at a high rate of speed, and led part of our group the wrong way and they got lost. My party made it to the winery just fine, but we had to find it on our own on very dark, unfamiliar streets (that are not well-marked). The other couple that got lost finally found the winery, but they arrived about 30 minutes late into the wine tasting. The guide had left them, and did not accompany them (or us) to the tasting like she was supposed to. She never checked in to make sure if any of us actually made it to the winery. Apparently she just took off and went home. The wine tasting was great, the family that runs St Helens Winery was very hospitable and they are creating some very delicious wines. I'd recommend them especially if they are offering tastings at other tasting events around the area.Nice location, nice kayak cruise and fun wine tasting but be prepared to 1) be an experienced paddler and 2) make sure you have a GPS if you do the wine tasting so you can find your way there.

The two-person staff was courteous but not very engaged with the group. I agree with another reviewer, they didn't point out much along the way. Or maybe there wasn't much to point out other than beauty. It was a nice ride, especially in good weather. But the two guides weren't professional with each other in front of the group "One kept saying to the other, "It's your group, do what you want". He wasn't angry, just unprofessional. And he had two beer bottles in his hand as he paddled along with us. He said it was his day off. ??? We started 45 minutes late also and had to just hang out waiting. And groupons discount brought it to $35 for 2.5 hours. I can hardly believe a tour like that sells for 60 bucks regular. It should be priced regular at $35 and discounted to 20.

I got a groupon for my husband and my 5th anniversary. Our guide led the way, but when we got around a bend, he gave us a lot of freedom to explore and interact around the island of Silver Lake. We had a good time with our group, and it was my first time kayaking. I was scared at first, but everyone was so encouraging and we had no problems on our adventure. We did not meet up with a Sasquatch, however.... next time

The lake was very beautiful and the weather was great! The group I was with did not find the tour guides to be very engaging or friendly at all. They did not point any scenery out and the two tour guides seemed to be at odds at which way we were going and disputed on kayaking techniques in front of the group. It was a great experience, but mainly because our group made it so. The tour guides were very disappointing.

My friends and I had a wonderful evening kayaking around a beautiful, lily-pad filled lake with view of Mt St. Helens and Mt Adams. The Sasquatch team was super friendly and it was a wonderful time for us beginners!
