Three miles east of Pomeroy Washington this is worth a stop if passing by. Walking into the Stage Stop is like passing through a time warp. The owner collects and sells stuff from estate sales in this rural area. It's like grandma's attic! And the owner adds to the charm. No cable, internet or web page for her. Her phone is her only concession to progress. She will share history and stories of the area if you take the time to ask.She has several buildings of "stuff." Looking over the collection will take you back to simpler times and you may even find some treasure that you didn't know you needed. One trip we picked up classic canning jars. The next left us with a great, if worn, soup pan for camping. So hit the brakes and take a break. You'll likely leave smiling.
