The food is great, and very enjoyable setting with all the wonderful things for sale in the shop. We love going for the wine dinners, and their specials can't be beat. Excellent selection and the small deli, have always enjoyed food there, never a problem.

This is tough to write. Before today this would have been a 5 star review and a high recommendation. We have been here 4 times now. The first 2 times were really good. Great food, good service (if a bit slow). Two weeks ago on a Saturday we brought a friend down from Vancouver for a memorable long relaxed lunch that was, quite simply, one of the best any of us have ever had. Crab cakes, Oysters, steamers etc. - all absolutely brilliant. So today was a major disappointment.The service was lackadaisical with food delivered out of sequence and things we ordered having to be asked for repeatedly. Food which we raved about two weeks ago was barely passable. The caesar salad was almost sent back as it was so - well - uninspired - and simply not very good. Even the normally great baked goods/desserts were tired - a couple of days too old probably. When we commented on this abrupt change in quality we were too "The good chef starts at 3:00." as if that somehow made everything OK. When I pay $70 for a light lunch for 2 with 1 glass of wine each I expect better that this - a LOT better.So - it seems that lunch during the week is NOT recommended (all our other visits were on a weekend).This is a management problem as variation in quality this drastic means no one is minding the store.It's a shame - we are now coming to Point Roberts every week and we were looking forward to coming here every week for a long lunch and a place to hang out. Whilst we may be back it will not be until we try other places first.That all being said - the desserts and bakery (which can be had to go) are all really good when fresh. Timing is everything.It's really a shame - this place has so much going for it and we really wanted it to be good.

We can go to Brewsters for their special coffee and a muffin etc. We can shop in their specialty store and deli, and we frequently dine there. Fabulous home cooked style meals. They often put on special themed dinners sometimes with entertainment and also have a great wine club. I forgot to mention their great wine store too.
