i went on labor day weekend thinking the weather would not hold up..i'm, so glad we went because we had all sun with a light breeze (which was well needed). we got to the hike around 12 40 and made it to the waters edge by 3 15. i went on this hike 3 years ago and loved it so much i couldnt pass up the opportunity to hike to hidden lake again. last time it was so cold and breezy that my sister and i didnt climb the extra .5 miles down to the lakes edge. but this time my friends and i made the extra effort to climb the boulders down to the lake. my brother and his friend were even crazy enough to jump into the glacier water twice! its def. worth the extra twenty mins to climb down to the lake. Its a tough hike when your booking it up with three boys and your the only girl...so i recommend taking your time if you have a heavy pack and take moments to enjoy the amazing views from any part of the hike. Bring lots of water and a light jacket becuase at times it can be very cold up there. Its def a hike you want to do on a nice clear day....its still worth it to hike on a crummy day, but you wont get the full beauty.
