This was our first stay in a State Park, we have always stayed at club parks. I was very impressed. The view was spectacular, lots 1-10 are the best in my opinion. Lot 6 had a very nice courtyard behind and all of our neighbors were very friendly. The beach is a very short walk. The Park Hosts were all very friendly - very accomodating. This park is a go to must for us in the future.

Nice clean park! Large grassy area short walk to the beach! Wish the sites were a little longer and had full hook ups! Short drive to shops if you forgot anything

August 17-22, 2014.The badThere is too much noise at night because of planes/trains until about 11pm.After that it becomes quite. The plane's noise sometimes gets deafening it can wake up the dead!I usually go to sleep at 10pm but it is still too noisy so I go to sleep at 11pm instead. The goodOne of the best washrooms/showers.Very accessible to shopping malls/groceries

The drive along Chuckanut Drive is so enjoyable. Arriving at Bay View state park we were greeted by such a friendly attendant. We stayed in cabin number 5 which has a full size bathroom. It felt as nice as a hotel room. Clean and tidy. A bedside light was on when we arrived which was such a simple but nice touch. We didn't have a fire, but there is a fire pit if you so choose. We had sort of a view. Mostly trees around, but quiet and peaceful. The walk down to the beach is a simple five minute one. Although the views are not altogether beautiful. The oil refineries on March Point are in clear view. But it's easy to look away and just enjoy the views of Padilla Bay.

Marine views of Padilla Bay with a short walk from the campsite to the beach makes this a sweet destination weekend camping location. Rv spots with water and electric hookups are fairly private with trees for shaded spots in the Summer. Long shoreline for walking and exploring at low tide. NIce bathroom facility with quarter operated showers.

Great location. Nice place to camp and/or picnic. Room to run around and explore the beach. There is a nature center close by and many activities to which to drive in Mount Vernon, Burlington, Anacortes, La Conner. I live in the Skagit Valley so have been there many many times over the years.

I stopped here for a while to eat and stretch my legs. I have an annual Discover pass so it did not cost me anything. There was a strong breeze blowing and I spent a pleasant half hour watching a number of people kite surfing. There were a number of people on shore watching. The kite surfers were using the park as a launch site so I was able to get a good look at them. I have never seen it up close before and I found it interesting. The park was clean and well maintained.

I've camped here twice with my young grandchild and her parents as well, and really enjoyed both experiences. The campground isn't the best I've known but good enough for a short stay in a tent. There are nice bathrooms and showers (bring quarters), a large grassy area for games, and access to the beach for swimming, beachcombing, picnics or -- take note -- the best kite flying in Skagit County. Just north is the Breazeale Interpretive Center for some interesting museum-type study, including live aquaria and a room with hands-on activities for the kids. There's a large picnic shelter near the beach, and an outdoor shower. The campground's kiosk provides information on tide tables among other things. Wild blackberries in late summer may surround your campsite!

I have gone to Bay View State park for many many years and it is one of the best . I have camped and picnic at it and always found it a great place, woods, water shores and all the serenity. All around good place.

My wife and I rented cabin 5c in July. If u want a shower in the cabin 5c is the only one. Cabin was clean and the area was peaceful. The local farms were serene. The refinery way across the water affected star gazing at night but the sunset was great. Close to town and Anacortez for whale watching and Deception Pass. Great value highly recommend staying at Bay View.

We stayed in cabins. The stay was good. The campground is reasonably clean. The washrooms really really really need an upgrade. Only one shower for so many camp sites. The young staff are grumpy and unfriendly. They do work hard for sure but a smile will go a long way. May be they did'nt like when asked to replace toilet paper and towels and clean washrooms. The campsite was out of firewood throughout our stay. The picnic area at the beach is very well kept. The sunsets are breathtaking and the beach walk is pretty good.

Visited the Bay view state park during this long Canada Day Weekend and were we pleasantly suprised with this location. Met up with friends that were staying at the near by log cabins and this place is the right place if you want to spend a romatic and quiet time with your spouse away from the hustle bustle of the city. Located just and hour and half away from Vancouver the beach and sunset are BEAUTIFUL. Bay View State Park is a 25-acre camping park of saltwater shoreline on Padilla Bay near the city of Anacortes. The log cabins overlooking the waters were indeed quite serene and even though they were at capacity we never felt as though it was crowded and noisy. Went in the afternoon to the nearby La Cooner town which dictates a differnt review itself to do it any form of justice. The waters are calm and the birds making thier usual sounds is quite relaxing and again quite romantic. Do visit this place and you will be glad you did. Stay at the bay view park log cabins. Each cabin is furnished with one double bed and two single bunks. Cabin 5, (which we stayed in), has a restroom with sink, shower and toilet. Cabin 6 I am told has a restroom with sink and toilet. Cabins 1 through 4 share the restrooms which are nearby in the park. The also have a dedicated area for campers and RV's. Please remember if you do not have a discovery pass you will have to buy a $10/day pass for the days you plan to stay there. Hope this info helps.

A small day use park. Well kept, in a safe neighborhood. outstanding sunsets, tidal waterfront, a great spot for picnic or just hanging out.

We discovered this wonderful place just by driving by and then having to turn around in order to enter the beach. It is a great place to just sit and watch the water. Took our dog there for a walk, leash only, thank goodness. We didn't camp, but did drive around the spaces that are well hidden across the road from the bay. They have benches and bathrooms to sit on and close by the beach. Walking up the beach there is lots to look at and plenty of places to spread a blanket. Saw one lady even swimming in the water with her dog..... Too early in the season for me.

I camp here a lot and enjoy it. There are however no trails (exept the ones the the bathrooms). The beach is amazing and the park is great for kids. If you go I recomnd site 10 because you have a great view of what people call "The Loop" whitch is a cement loop with a grass field in the center; exellant place for kids to play and for dogs.
